“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us.” – David Richo Everyone experiences unique challenges throughout life. I value the importance of developing a strong therapeutic connection, as it is essential for growth. I utilize strengths-based and motivational interviewing approaches. Prior to working in private practice, I have over 7 years experience working with Veterans and their families. “Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.” -Fred Rogers Our experiences throughout life shape us in many ways. I work with individuals to empower them to better understand themselves, and the ways in which they manage life’s hardships, as stress and trauma are often unavoidable experiences of life. I am a trauma-focused mental health therapist, who believes that everyone has their own unique strengths for surviving and thriving through life’s ups and downs. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and attachment-focused. I value building a therapeutic alliance, and my intention is to have each individual feel heard and supported in our time together. I strive to promote a healing environment using active listening, sensitivity, and non-judgmental compassion for everyone’s unique situation.
I believe that each person is an expert on their own unique experience. I view my role as being a guide in assisting people towards discovering and reaching their goals towards enhancing and enriching their lives. I use a strength-based, person-centered approach to build a strong foundation for the therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide a safe, open environment where I can meet my clients where they are at and help them on their journey. In addition to working in a private practice setting, I have provided case management and psychotherapy at two different Community Mental Health organizations, a domestic violence center, a youth shelter, a specialized facility, and a hospital. I have worked with teens with learning obstacles and behavior concerns, women who experienced sexual assault and domestic violence, young adults who experienced first episodes of psychosis, life transitions, eating disorders, and stress management, couples experiencing communication and trust issues, and adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
I strive to create a safe environment for clients to present and work through their concerns at their own pace. Therapy can be hard and challenging, I will be by your side the entire way to provide support, validation and new approaches to help you handle the hard times. I am passionate about helping others find more laughter and joy from their life. People are often more resilient than they think and it is never too late to try and create a more fulfilling life. Prior to working in private practice I spent several years working for a community mental health. There I worked as an outpatient therapist. I worked with children, families and adults with issues such as depression, anxiety, family conflict, as well as financial stressors and life stressors. During my time there I also did significant amounts of work with people who have lived through trauma.

You’re thoughtful, capable, & accomplished, yet something doesn’t feel quite right. You may struggle with anxiety, depression, emotional reactivity, burnout, or relationship difficulties. Hi, my name is Monday Ogbeibor and I am a board -certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have over 5 years of experience working in mental health, and my strengths include finding the right diagnoses, managing and changing medications, and providing psychotherapy to those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, sleep disturbance, anger management, psychosis, substance abuse, and eating disorder. Current clients describe me as a great listener, and I love to give ample time to truly hear what you've been feeling so we can come up with the right plan of action. I like to create an environment where you feel understood and comfortable. Opening up to someone new can be hard, but we'll really get to know each other and by the end of our first appointment, we will no longer be strangers, but rather partners on your journey to healing. If right now you are feeling pain, sadness, constant stress, or panic... if you're not sleeping or feeling like your life is chaotic... if you're struggling to navigate relationships (with family, or food, or drugs) none of that has to be your norm. You don't have to suffer through it. My goal at the end of the day is to give you options and strategies that you maybe didn't know were available to you so you can live your best life. I am currently accepting new patients, and I've been known to be speedy and on time when my clients need me. I look forward to supporting you and am excited to meet you.

Hello and welcome! Whether this is your first time in therapy and you are uncertain of your goals or you are continuing years of work, I will meet you where you are. During your sessions you will work with me, (Melissa Neihof, MA, LPCA, LMFTA) to increase self-awareness surrounding long-standing patterns in order to nurture congruence between your internal world and outward actions. My approach is influenced primarily by Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment, and Systems theories. In other words. Together, we will work through several combined approaches in order to help you identify how your past experiences have shaped the way you interact with the world today.
One of the things I love most about being a therapist is getting to witness people grow into the fullest, most authentic version of themselves. It’s incredibly meaningful to walk alongside someone as they work through challenges, uncover new insights, and build a life that feels more manageable, intentional, and aligned with who they really are. Watching that progress unfold — from the first session to the breakthroughs along the way — is a privilege I never take for granted. In our sessions, you can expect a space that’s centered around you. I always begin by inviting you to share whatever’s been on your mind lately. I find that when we don’t start there, the thoughts or worries closest to the surface can sometimes get in the way of our deeper work. But if you’re not sure what to talk about or nothing specific is coming up that day, that’s totally okay — I’ll guide us back to the goals you’ve set for therapy or revisit what we’ve been working on. My approach is person-centered, which means you get to lead the way and I’ll meet you there with support and structure. When I describe therapy to people in everyday language, I often say it has two layers. The first is what I call the band-aid approach — where I help you build tools and coping strategies that provide immediate relief. Whether you’re managing anxiety, navigating a conflict, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we’ll work on practical ways to feel better right now. From there, we’ll gently dig deeper into the “why” and the “how” — exploring what’s really going on beneath the surface so we can create long-term change. It’s about building a system in your life that helps you respond more effectively to challenges, emotions, or patterns of behavior. I deeply believe that each person’s story is shaped by their unique life experiences, cultural background, family dynamics, relationships, and more. These influences often play a big role in how we view the world and how we respond to stress or conflict. In therapy, I’ll help you make sense of those influences while also working through whatever issues are most present in your life right now. Healing happens when you’re ready for it — not when someone else tells you it’s time.
Being at a big university can be intimidating. For many years, I have been helping people gain insight into themselves to better understand their feeling. Times of transition and uncertainty can be stressful, but today there are many variables in this world which may create these big feelings. I work with clients through an interactive approach, trying to help them explore and verbalize what they are experiencing, and create a road map to help them reach their goals. I feel that we all demonstrate behaviors which we may not understand. Through exploration, I help clients "connect the dots" to help them gain insight as to why they do what they do. Once they have this understanding, it becomes more of a conscious choice as to how they wish to move forward. The client and I become a "team", trying to explore these issues together. Even though I see clients virtually, I can be seen visiting the MSU campus with my therapy dog, an Alaskan Malamute named Ichabod. We often attend on-campus events and are present for the "Out of the Darkness Walk" for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention(AFSP). My areas of expertise are helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and struggles with transition.
I believe mental health is just as essential as physical health. Just as we care for our bodies, we deserve the same attention and compassion for our emotional well-being. Therapy isn’t just about managing symptoms—it’s about understanding yourself on a deeper level, finding clarity, and making space for your story to be seen and heard. Every person has a unique journey shaped by their experiences, relationships, and inner world. I see therapy as a space where you can explore that journey without judgment. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you as you make sense of where you’ve been and where you want to go. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. I work to create a supportive, open environment where you can feel safe to be yourself, reflect on your patterns, and begin to grow in ways that feel meaningful to you. Your story matters. I’m here to help you uncover the strength, insight, and resilience that’s already within you. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, mental health advocacy, and trauma-informed care. My professional experience includes working in an inpatient behavioral health hospital, where I supported individuals experiencing acute mental health crises in a highly structured and intensive care setting. I also spent time in community mental health, providing services to individuals living with severe and persistent mental illnesses, helping them navigate complex challenges with compassion and consistency. In addition, I’ve provided individual counseling through a nonprofit agency, offering support to clients from diverse backgrounds as they worked through issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma.

“The more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I thrive.” — Elliot Page It is my goal to create a space where you feel safe to be who you truly are, and to meet you where you are at. The act of loving and accepting yourself can be a struggle, but it is not an impossible task. Using ideas like radical self love and acceptance, you can learn to love who you are today, and use that to inform who and where you want to be tomorrow! I find that the more you are able to appreciate who you truly are, the more joy you will be able to find in the world around you. I thrive to be flexible with my approach, and want to make going to therapy feel easy, and even fun! I have previous experience working in crisis intervention with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Through this work I have gained knowledge in providing a trauma informed and empowering environment. I have also worked with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, and have a Bachelor’s degree in Women and Gender Studies. Seeing live music, and crafting are my favorite forms of self care. I value creativity and playfulness, and use these to inform how I move through the world. I have 3 cats and a fish that I adore with my whole heart.
My name is Daria Datnoff, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and have worked in the therapeutic field since 2011. I have worked with a wide variety of populations, including, young children, adolescents, at-risk teens, adults, and families across multiple settings. I take an individualized, client-centered approach and am experienced in an eclectic range of high-quality healing modalities, including: solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-oriented approaches, relational & narrative therapies. I embody a therapeutic process that is collaborative, nurturing, intuitively guided, and rooted in ecological systems theory. I strive to combine compassion for individuals and the environment with inherent wisdom to deliver a high-quality healing experience that is unique for every person or family that I serve.

I look to create a safe, protected and professional relationship where we can work together to help you address the things that are causing dysfunction in your life, and create opportunities to experience the power of relationships to engage and to heal. In my practice I blend attachment-based, person-centered, trauma-informed and strength-based approaches. I believe that every human is unique and has a unique story, and that therapy should be tailored to best fit you. I have deep respect for the individuals and families who come to therapy, and always seek to support and honor my client’s strengths and resiliencies. I seek to maintain an affirming and accepting space for all humans, including LGBTQIA2S+ identified individuals. I have 9 years of experience working in the mental health field in research, school, home-based and clinical settings. I have experience providing therapy to children from difficult places, children in foster care, adoptive children, and children who have experienced trauma. I am passionate about working with children, families with young children, and about helping caregivers to grow stronger connections with themselves and with the children in their care. I also enjoy working with individuals of all ages and believe that it is never too early, nor is anyone ever too old, to benefit from a therapeutic relationship. I have completed foundational training for Theraplay® and am now engaging in work based on Theraplay principles. Theraplay is an approach to child and family therapy that aims to address behavioral, emotional, or developmental issues and improve the parent-child relationship through play and healthy interaction. Caregivers of children up to age 12 are welcome to inquire to learn more about this method. A little about me – I live in South Lansing with my partner and our dog, two cats and a small flock of chickens. I spend most of my free time working to transform my 1.3 acre lawn into an urban farm, food forest, and native plant and wildlife refuge. I find my greatest moments of joy and peace in life through engagement and connection with nature, and love to hike, backpack, camp, kayak and explore new places.
