Asking for help can feel like failure. But it’s actually the smartest thing you can do. You’re at a rigorous university. You’re surrounded by smart, accomplished people. Everyone seems to have it together: classes, social life, and future plans despite all the pressure. Except you’re in your room at 2 AM and your anxiety is spiraling. Or you’re making a decision that feels impossibly huge and you have no idea which way to turn. Or you’re just… exhausted. The problem isn’t that you’re not capable. The problem is you’re trying to figure out who you actually are while everyone expects you to have it all figured out. That’s where I come in. I’m Debbie Miller, a therapist who gets college students. I spent 25 years in Ann Arbor and worked extensively with University of Michigan students. I know the academic pressure, the social dynamics, the Greek life culture, the competitive environment. I still work with Michigan students via telehealth, and I genuinely understand what it’s like to be where you are. I work with students who feel overwhelmed by pressure, confused about their future, struggling with anxiety or depression, or navigating major transitions. Students who know something needs to shift but aren’t sure how. Here’s the approach: We work together to help you become an expert on yourself. We’re a team. My job isn’t to tell you what to do, it’s to ask the right questions so you hear your own voice clearly. To challenge you on beliefs that hold you back. To help you figure out what actually matters to you (not what you think should matter). This isn’t always comfortable, but discomfort is usually a sign that real growth is happening. Your pace, your direction. That’s the deal. Ready to talk? Call or email me to schedule your free consultation.

I am a fully licensed psychologist who specializes in providing assessment services for adults, adolescents, and children. The path to self-understanding can be a challenging one. My goal through testing is to provide a safe place for individuals to gain insight into their behaviors, personality, and mental health concerns. These assessments typically examine the person's history, behavioral observations, and test results to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I am well versed with psychological testing with diagnosis of attention issues (ADD/ADHD) and differential diagnosis for clinical syndromes. I also offer screening for learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
I've learned over my years in practice that every person carries a deep inner resilience and an ability to heal. Sometimes, they just need a little support in uncovering it. I work with folks from all walks of life and deeply value the richness that diversity brings. All identities and backgrounds are welcome and affirmed here. I use a variety of evidenced based modalities, including EMDR, DBT, and ACT to support my clients in reaching their desired goals, while recognizing that a trusting, safe relationship between client and therapist is at the core of success. The process of choosing a therapist can be daunting and feel vulnerable. I offer brief consultation calls to help answer questions and determine if you would like to work together. Life is a journey with many twists and turns. Along the way we experience some good things and some not so good things, but all life experiences make up who we are in this very moment. Everyone deserves to be able to tell their story and to be heard. I’m here to help support my clients so they have a voice and can determine their own life direction and meaning. I primarily use tools from cognitive behavioral therapies and mindfulness in working with substance abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, anger management, ADHD/impulse control, and life transitions. I help individuals gain a deeper understanding of how motivation, executive functioning, and overall functionality affect their daily lives. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University in 2011, and received my Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology and Graduate Certificate in Substance Abuse and Addiction from Western Michigan University in 2015.

College can be one of the most exciting—and overwhelming—times in a person's life. Whether you're navigating academic stress, major life transitions, relationship challenges, or the impact of past traumatic experiences, therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain insight, and build effective coping strategies. I specialize in working with college students and young adults who are struggling with stress management, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma-related concerns. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier patterns, and move toward meaningful change. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, understood, and appropriately challenged as you work toward your goals. Whether you're adjusting to college life, managing overwhelming emotions, healing from past experiences, or simply trying to find greater balance, I am here to support you throughout the process.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. For me, being a physician is more than a profession—it is a vocation to help indviduals flourish. My practice is devoted to students and young adults seeking thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that extends beyond symptom relief. I provide comprehensive evaluations that consider medical, nutritional, lifestyle, and psychological factors—including laboratory testing when clinically appropriate—to identify the contributors to emotional and cognitive health. I also specialize in evidence-based de-prescribing for patients who wish to reduce or discontinue psychiatric medications for anxiety, attention difficulties, or substance use disorders. My approach is guided by precision, humility, and restraint: using the least intensive intervention necessary while drawing upon the full breadth of evidence-based medicine. Depending on each patient's needs and goals, I integrate psychotherapy, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, exercise, targeted supplementation, and, when appropriate, carefully selected medications into a personalized treatment plan. In addition to my clinical work, I have presented internationally on psychiatric deprescribing and medical ethics. My work has been recognized with awards from the American Psychiatric Association, the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions, the American Psychoanalytic Association, and other leading professional organizations. I am the Founder & Medical Director of Verigrate Health. I am licensed to serve patients in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.

Depression, anxiety, and trauma can show up in ways that feel overwhelming or hard to untangle—especially during periods of major life change. I’m Vivian, and I focus on providing a steady, reliable space for you to slow down and reflect. My approach centers on creating an environment where you feel safe and comfortable being completely open about your experiences, helping you make sense of what you’ve been carrying while moving toward something more manageable. As a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) with a background in both clinical training and behavioral health, I bring a practical and observant approach to the healing process. Whether we meet in person or virtually, my goal is to help you build the practical coping strategies and emotional insight you need to navigate life with more balance. I often think of my role as providing an objective mirror when things feel cloudy, helping you find your own internal compass.
