At different times in our lives, we experience hardships that may overwhelm us. These can sometimes be brought on by relationships, careers, family, or health. Or perhaps it is more of a persistent feeling you've grown accustomed to but wish there was a way of changing. The meaning we've made from life's past events serves as a template for how we will process each new experience in the future. My goal is to help facilitate an insight-oriented process of understanding why we feel the way we do and provide a source of strength and a healthy curiosity to lead to a better tomorrow.

Do you need guidance navigating difficult emotions, past trauma, family and life transitions. Are you someone who struggles with depression or anxiety, connection to others, or could use a neutral perspective and someone to talk to? Everyone wants to feel safe and supported while going through challenges. I work with teens and young adults to explore different ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving to increase self-awareness and improve functioning. My therapeutic approach involves acceptance and non-judgment. I use interventions that foster natural strengths, and work in collaboration with clients to build skills aligned with their specific needs, capabilities, and goals. Clients gain valuable tools rooted in evidenced based practice, that aim to explore root causes of distress and develop resiliency. Confronting personal difficulties is not easy and I approach counseling with compassion, empathy, confidentiality and trust. Together we can create new coping strategies, positive social connections, self-esteem and confidence in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Maybe you’ve been holding it together for a while, but lately, you’re just… tired. Between school, relationships, family, work, and trying to figure out who you are and what you want, it can feel like a lot to carry. Maybe anxiety, panic, depression, past experiences, or difficult relationships are making things harder than they need to be. Or maybe you’ve gotten really good at showing up for everyone else while feeling disconnected from yourself. You might be wanting to feel more like you again—to enjoy things, feel more present, have healthier relationships, and not feel like you’re constantly stressed, overwhelmed, or on edge. I work with adults who want to better understand themselves and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. I’m EMDR certified through EMDRIA, with a particular focus on trauma, attachment, and relationships. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest, feel understood, and not have to figure everything out on your own. Building a safe, trusting relationship is at the heart of my work, and I bring that same sense of connection and collaboration into EMDR. EMDR can help us work through experiences that continue to affect how you feel, think, relate to others, or see yourself—even if you wouldn’t necessarily describe those experiences as “trauma.” Sometimes it’s a difficult childhood, a painful relationship, a loss, chronic stress, or experiences that left you feeling unsafe, unseen, powerless, or disconnected from yourself. My approach to EMDR is individualized and collaborative. There’s no expectation that you should jump into the hardest topics right away. We’ll pay attention to what your mind and body need, build a sense of safety and stability first, and move at a pace that feels manageable for you. You’re always part of the conversation about where we go and when we’re ready to get there. Alongside EMDR, I draw from attachment-based, somatic, and parts-work approaches. Together, we can explore not just what you’re struggling with, but why certain patterns keep showing up—and what might help you create something different. My goal isn’t simply to help you feel less anxious or overwhelmed. It’s to help you understand yourself more deeply, feel more connected to yourself and others, and have more freedom in how you move through life. And you don’t have to have it all figured out before you start therapy. You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong or what you need. We can start wherever you are, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and figure it out together. You deserve a space where you can show up as you are—not as the version of yourself you think you’re supposed to be. Call, text or email me today to set up a free 15 minute chat so we can learn a bit more about each other and see if we'd like to work together to get you feeling better. I'm looking forward to connecting with you :)

I enjoy working with students at the collegiate level. It can be such an exciting time of life, but can also present unique challenges that create uncertainty and impact mental health. I am here to support this adjustment period, whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression, or experiencing executive function challenges. I have the ability to see you via telehealth or in person, and am able to collaborate with your provider at home (if you're attending from out of state) to continue or adjust medications while in the state of Oregon.

Humor is something I like to incorporate into therapy; however, we can be serious about your concerns too. People of all ages struggle with human suffering and sometimes you need someone to walk with you through that, whether it be something you wish to change or something that you cannot. I aim to help my clients make meaning in life while also identifying the connections between our individual concerns and larger systems in life. I provide individual therapy for a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, identity exploration, and trauma, with specialized experience supporting people through grief, traumatic loss, and substance use concerns. My clients have expressed appreciation for my ability to sit with them in their suffering, when they have felt most alone. I have multiple years of experience previously working in college counseling centers. During these experiences, I supported students from a variety of backgrounds and found a lot of joy in helping students at a unique intersection in their lives. I have been lucky to work with a diverse student population and have supported many queer and trans students in exploring their gender and sexual identities while also addressing other mental health concerns. In addition, I was able to support BIPOC students as they addressed systemic issues within the university, while also exploring their individual racial identities. I further co-facilitated a family-trauma group during my time at a university counseling center. Thus, I find that I greatly appreciate being able to sit with students who are addressing these concerns. I am a Psychologist Resident in OR. I have my doctorate and five years of experience providing therapy, however, to become licensed in OR I must complete a supervised residency. I am supervised by Dr. Carrie McMullin (OR 2963). Therapy can be helpful no matter where we start. It can help us cope with stress and life transitions, heal from trauma, cultivate new skills, and build a life worth living. I enjoy supporting clients as they get to know different parts of themselves, and build friendlier relationships with these parts. Providing warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative support is at the core of my practice. My personal and professional experience as a multiracial person makes me passionate about supporting diverse clients. I enjoy working with clients varying in age, gender identity, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, health concerns, nationality, and religion. I have over 15 years of experience working with clients across a myriad of concerns. Some areas of focus include anxiety, trauma, depression, LGBTQIA+, couples therapy, gender affirming care, eating and body image concerns.
