I enjoy working with humans from all walks of life who’d like some support and to be able to process their feelings and trauma. We laugh, we cry and we get through it, together.
Beyond Burnout Co
Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a licensed therapist in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina who helps people feeling burned out, anxious, or stuck in survival mode reconnect with balance and purpose. Many of my clients come to me after feeling overwhelmed by work, relationships, or the constant pressure to keep going — even when they’re running on empty. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and learn healthier ways to cope. My style is compassionate and collaborative — I meet you where you are and help you build practical tools for stress, boundaries, and self-care that actually fit your life. Before starting my private practice, I worked in behavioral health settings supporting individuals living with substance use, bipolar disorder, and other chronic mental health conditions. That experience taught me that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all — and that real change happens when therapy feels safe, personalized, and empowering. If you’re ready to move from burnout to balance, I’d love to help you take that next step.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and have worked in counseling focusing on grief for 14 years. In working with grief and loss I have found that this opening provides opportunities to recreate yourself because parts of your world have changed. This experience has helped me grow as a counselor over these years and to understand that we are all here to learn more about ourselves as challenges come into our lives. I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, physical and sexual trauma, job changes, and relationship issues. I have also worked with those who have other challenges such as High Functioning Autism and issues concerning the LGBTQIA community. My approach to counseling comes from Person Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. I also have experience Heart Math for Stress and Anxiety where we use tools to regulate breath and heart rate. This skill can help one to be centered in the chaos and help to focus on your healing process. I also used techniques found in Mindfulness that helps to focus on the present moments versus worries about past or future. I believe in the ability within each individual to overcome the challenges that they face during the course of their lives. There should be a genuine relationship between the therapist and the client. This purpose is the creation of a safe place for the client to grow in their awareness of themselves and their environment. I believe in these theories because they center on the individual and their innate power to overcome their personal challenges. All of these theories and techniques give the client the confidence to realize that they do have the power to create their own reality and make positive choices. It is vital that the client feels a connection with their therapist to provide the trust involved in making the necessary changes in themselves.

Sojourner Counseling, PLLC
I know what it's like to be a college student and struggling with your mental health. It's a difficult and isolating experience. Finding healing in my clinical depression and anxiety was ultimately what led me to become a therapist, to help others like you going through it, too. When we talk about your thoughts and emotions, I know what you're going through and that pain you're experiencing. I also know the power of having a Christian counselor walk alongside you when your Christian faith is important to you. As a believer and therapist, I want to offer you both--a place where Jesus + therapy can co-exist. I offer Christian counseling to young women struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and cross-cultural adjustment. I integrate clinical techniques along with Scripture and prayer, if you desire, as you work towards healing, renewal and hope! Send me an email today. Let's get started!

Are you confused and do not know what your next steps are? Do you look in the mirror and no longer recognize the face staring back at you? If so, just know that this is the first step to a new start and I look forward to us working together to assist you in finding the balance. I have a love for people who are in the unknown and stuck points. People who are uncertain of themselves or their identity. Individuals that need to feel empowered and healed. Ones who have learned to operate on autopilot in the outside world only due to avoiding healing the inside world. If this sounds like you, reach out so we can unpack it together. During our sessions, we will develop a collaborative relationship where we work on any presiding issues that you have. This will allow you to really dig deep within yourself to gain a better understanding of your self-awareness. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to be your most authentic self. My therapeutic style isn’t your textbook therapist. I aim to provide some light through relatability, experience and knowledge, while we take a close look at how we can rewrite your story. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and I am to be more holistic. I will combine my personal and professional experiences to get you to a place of whole healing. If you feel like you’re feeling the pressure of what’s next, stop scrolling because trust…you’re in the right place. College is supposed to be an exciting experience but for a lot of students, it feels like: • “I’m behind.” • “Everyone else has it figured out.” • “I’m stressed all the time.” • “I don’t even know what I’m doing here.” If that’s you, I can assure that you’re not broken. You have reached your emotional capacity, feel overwhelmed, and you don’t have to carry that alone. At ThrivePath, we help students slow down, feel safer in their own bodies and minds, and learn how to move through life from alignment, not survival mode. This is therapy and support that feels: ✨ supportive ✨ honest ✨ culturally-aware ✨ and actually helpful No “fix yourself” energy here. At ThrivePath, our energy reads more like “let’s figure this out together.”
