I specialize in supporting high-achieving professionals—especially those in academia or the helping profession (doctors, nurses, therapists, pastors)—who grapple with perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, codependency, and the challenge of prioritizing their own needs amidst the many demands of their personal and professional lives. As an immigrant, I bring a rich, cross-cultural perspective to therapy and a deep appreciation for how culture shapes identity, relationships, and mental health. Many of my clients are navigating complex intersections of cultural expectations, academic roles, and personal values. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor and active researcher. My academic work focuses on interpersonal trauma and its impact on relationships and meaning-making. This dual identity as both clinician and scholar informs my approach: deeply reflective, integrative, and grounded in both science and lived experience. I work exclusively via Telehealth with adult clients residing in GA, MI, and TX. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one that offers both safety and challenges patterns by providing direct and honest feedback. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your well-being, I invite you to reach out.
My favorite thing in the world is to affirm for someone that their feelings matter. I want you to feel safe expressing all of your thoughts and emotions. There is no problem too big or too small to talk about. No matter the situation, your reactions and feelings are important. I view therapy as a collaborative process. My clients tell me what they need help with, and we work together to figure out what their best course of action is. My job isn’t to tell you what to do and send you away. My job is to listen to you and empower you to take action to improve your life. I work with children, teens, adults, and families. My specialties include mood disorders (anxiety and depression), self-esteem issues, and ADHD. I use an eclectic approach, meaning that I tailor your therapeutic experience to fit your specific needs. I’ll share my insights with you, as well as coping skills for you to try outside of session. I provide a space where you are safe to be open and authentic and can talk about whatever you need. I’m here for you and would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward a stronger, healthier life.

We can manage your prescription and medications. Our Care Philosophy: I believe the best care comes from building a strong partnership with my patients. I take time to listen closely to each person’s story, value their input, and work with them to create a treatment plan that fits their goals and lifestyle. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on empowering patients to take an active role in their mental health. I explain treatment options clearly, answer questions in plain language, and encourage open communication so patients feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. I also believe in meeting patients where they are—whether that means adjusting care to match their pace or providing extra education and resources to help them feel confident. Above all, my goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and respectful environment where patients feel heard, understood, and supported on their journey toward healing and wellness.
TahLeekah Partee-Young is a licensed clinical social worker. TahLee's journey began in 2006, while employed at a mental health clinic. While serving in a different capacity, frequent interactions with clients cultivated a new calling. TahLee decided to enroll in Western Michigan University to pursue her Master's Degree in Social Work. In hindsight, TahLee could clearly recognize her gift with people early on. Providing encouragement, holding stories in confidence and providing comfort and validation to others, have always been inherent. Heal-Encourage-Motivate (HEM) LLC is a reflection of this revelation. TahLee has been in the field as both a generalist and substance abuse counselor for approximately 12 years. She worked in many outpatient settings and facilitated groups, performed assessments, practiced individual therapy and crisis management. Client populations range from adolescents (15 and up) to adults with chronic mental health and social issues. CURRENTLY, TahLee is interested in working with individuals who seek treatment for the following: -Anxiety -Depression -Codependence/boundary issues -Relationship difficulties -Major phase of life changes that disrupt normal level of functioning -Children/Spouse of those with alcohol or substance dependence - Ages 15 and up
