When everything feels like too much, therapy shouldn’t add to the pressure. I'm a liberatory therapist working with kids and adults facing life transitions and overwhelm. I don’t believe in forcing people to fit systems that weren’t built for them. Instead, I center you—your needs, your truth, and your pace. Using humanistic and cognitive approaches, I offer a grounded space where we can explore what’s hard, celebrate your strengths, and move toward a more authentic sense of self. With compassion, humor, and curiosity, we’ll challenge the stories that are holding you back—and build new ones that feel like yours.
Life can feel like a roller coaster full of twists and turns. You may lose track of your goals and rely on unhealthy coping skills to help you, including over/under eating, excessive exercise, self-deprecation, doubt, isolation, irritability, over-thinking, increased impulsivity...the list goes on. During these times you may experience tough transitions ranging from the loss of a loved one, sudden change in career and/or relocation, acculturation challenges and/or traumatic experiences that result in confusion, pain and other emotions you may feel flooded with. I am here to help you process and make sense of your ride. For the last 12+ years I have helped my clients feel confident and self-assured. I use various talk and expressive therapy modalities, to assist others in unmasking the complex layers of their experiences and emotions to embrace their inner strength, leadership and uniqueness. I confidently feel that you deserve to be the best version of you at all times. Whether this be your first time in therapy or not I encourage you to take the leap and allow me to help you achieve your goals. I will be open to your needs and finding a flow that elicits the change you seek.
I work with college students who are navigating life’s challenges—whether it’s anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, identity questions, trauma, cultural adjustment, or substance use concerns. I provide therapy in English and Mandarin and bring a multicultural perspective and psychodynamic approach to create a warm, supportive space for exploration and growth. My goal is to help my clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to reconnect with themselves and others. With years of post-graduate training at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis (MIP) and the Psychodynamic Institute of New England (PINE), I blend thoughtful insight with compassionate guidance. I see clients in person at my Watertown Square office and via telehealth. I am in-network with BCBS, will soon accept Harvard Pilgrim, and also welcome self-pay clients.
I specialize in working with clients with anxiety, but also treat a number of other issues, including (but not limited to) depression, ADHD, life transitions, relationship issues etc. I also work as a faculty field advisor at Boston College School of Social Work.
I provide trauma informed LGBTQIA and neurodivergent affirming therapy to young adults in person in Stoneham, Massachusetts, and virtually across all of Massachusetts. Those who work with me are often looking to better understand themselves and the world around them. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQ community, with a particular interest in assisting young adults on their self-discovery and identity journeys. I also provide neurodivergent affirming therapy to autistic adults struggling with mental health symptoms related to the challenges of fitting into a neurotypical world.
Welcome, First of all, be sure to take a deep breath and know that whether you choose to work with me or someone else you will get through this process! Choosing a therapist is not an easy task. I look forward to setting up a time to speak with you after you review my clinical background and training. Most college students appreciate the sense of humor and warmth that I bring to our discussions. They feel connected and engaged with a real person who cares about them in a personal way. They also appreciate my ability to help them identify practical solutions to the academic and emotional issues that they voice in our meetings. My wide range of clinical experiences allow me to help my patients move through treatment with a sense of energy and a feeling that their strengths are both appreciated and enhanced throughout the treatment process. This close relationship allows them to open-up and identify a pathway forward in their life that is meaningful, clear, and solid. To provide you with some background I would note that I am a licensed psychologist who has worked with college students for years. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, college transition stress, social skill challenges and anger management. I also help students who need specialized support in managing the organizational, writing, or academic demands of a college environment. I meet with students in individual, group, and family therapy sessions depending on the need. I also support students and their families in situations where they are stepping down from a stay in an in-patient hospital or are trying to avoid a hospitalization. My approach to treatment is holistic in that I use a range of time-tested treatment interventions to identify and address your needs in a personalized manner. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about my approach to treatment in our first phone contact. I maintain an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School and serve as a Clinical Associate at McLean Hospital, the medical school's largest teaching psychiatric hospital. I have supervised numerous psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists over the course of my career and as such I am the Director of Training in my group practice, and I am currently training five psychology graduate students. Center Psychotherapy is a group mental health practice located in Winchester and Arlington, Massachusetts that specializes in trauma treatment. We are committed to providing quality and expert mental health treatment using a humanist, client-centered approach to therapy. Our clinicians recognize that successful treatment varies with individual needs, strengths, and personal client preferences. We strive to work with you to develop treatment plans and therapeutic interventions that recognize strengths, not just symptom expression.
As a clinician, I seek to develop a strong rapport with my clients to promote a collaborative treatment process. I help my clients learn more about themselves and better identify their emotional and therapeutic needs. I believe the opportunity for my clients to develop a sense of agency, and identify how to take action when faced with difficult situations, is key to self-empowerment and growth. I work with my clients to gather information about themselves and their situations, to learn to reflect on their emotions and behaviors in a nonjudgmental way, and to build their confidence to make positive decisions in their life.
Despite years of self work and therapy, is something still not right? Can you feel it in your body that your nervous system is not functioning in the way that you need? Working together I can help reacquaint yourself with your body and it's signals, learn how to listen to it's cues, care for the nervous system and whole self. We can discover the root of your suffering and find ways through it, so you feel more calm and more engaged. We may also use EMDR to reprocess traumatic experiences. EMDR helps facilitate conditions that allow your body and brain's natural ability to heal to prevail. Do you feel like others in the world are suffering more than you, that you shouldn’t ask for more? I will help you work through these doubts and hesitations to discover how you can truly live a life that is aligned with who you are, guilt-free. It's possible for you to live more in the present and feel empowered in your life. Our work will help you feel more connected to yourself, the people in your life and the world around you. You will better understand your life experiences, stresses and anxieties to learn to live with all parts of who you are in better harmony.
Seeking therapy and finding the right therapist can be difficult and daunting. My initial goal when meeting with new clients is to create a comfortable and safe environment. Wherever you are in your pursuit of receiving help is where I accept you and begin our work together. Wherever you are is a good place to start. The practice I opened with close colleagues is called Elysium Counseling LLC. “Elysium” by definition is a place of ideal happiness or a peaceful state of mind. While that may feel unrealistic to obtain by some, we help our clients grow to believe they can achieve just that. I want my clients to know that change is possible, that they have unique skills and abilities, and are worthy and capable of creating a life they want to live. Part of that process invites clients to be challenged in new ways, even if it’s hard. I value and prioritize relationships with my clients, as I believe a strong therapeutic alliance is the main contributor to successful treatment outcomes. Life is complicated. It’s my job to help clients navigate all that comes with it as best they can.
I specialize in working with patients who struggle with mood disorders, safety concerns, college transition, learning challenges, social skill challenges, grief/separation, and anger challenges. I provide integrated, wrap-around MMT care for my clients, and their parents/caregivers, helping facilitate an understanding of their behavioral/learning challenges. As a social worker, my focus extends beyond individual therapy sessions—I actively facilitate communication and collaboration between multiple parties involved, ensuring the best support for my clients. My goal is to empower young individuals to overcome challenges, foster personal growth, and thrive academically and personally.
Welcome! I specialize in working with older adolescents, young adults, and parents, to help develop strategies to manage a variety of stressors including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, grief and loss, academic challenges, life transitions and relationship struggles. My style encompasses an active, collaborative, strengths based approach, utilizing humor, compassion and warmth, to build a safe and trusting relationship with my clients. My goal is to help you explore road blocks, to gain insight into your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and to attain solutions that improves overall wellness and enhances personal growth.
I tend to work best with students who are struggling with relationships, attachment, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with notice patterns in their relationships feeling anxious, overthinking, fearing abandonment, homesick or feeling like they give more than they receive. Others may be going through changes in friendships, family dynamics, dating, or figuring out who they are and what they want. College and young adulthood can bring a lot of change, and sometimes those transitions can bring up deeper emotions or past experiences that affect how we connect with others. In therapy, I focus on creating a space where you can be open and honest without feeling judged. Together we explore relationship patterns, emotional responses, and what might be underneath them. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build healthier relationships, set boundaries, and feel more confident navigating change.

College can feel like a mix of excitement and pressure all at once. Between academics, relationships, figuring out who you are, and trying to keep up with everything, it’s really easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or like you’re just barely holding it together. In therapy, I try to create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and work together to find ways to feel more grounded and more like yourself again. I really believe people already have strengths in them, even if it doesn’t feel accessible in the moment. My job is to help you reconnect with those strengths and figure out how to use them in real life, especially during stressful or confusing seasons. I work with college students and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, and big life transitions. I use approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and body-based (somatic) work to help you understand what you’re feeling and actually shift it in a practical, supportive way. My fee for a 50-minute session is $180. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots ($90–$100) to help make therapy more accessible.

Her approach is weight-inclusive and trauma-informed, blending EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned care. I specialize in working with individuals with issues of anxiety, specific phobias, depression, trauma, mood dysregulation, adjustment to life transitions and building coping strategies and resilience. I believe that with challenge comes an opportunity for inner growth and strength. Mindset is a powerful tool that can help you to feel strong, calm, and confident. Together, we will create a wellness plan in a strength-based approach as you learn to change old habits and create new ones that promote a healthier lifestyle. We work to develop the path and mindset to help you be more resilient and deal with life's inevitable challenges. As a member of NESCH and Approved Consultant through ASCH, I can integrate clinical hypnotherapy into my practice especially in supporting test performance, public speaking, and sports performance.
At Windward Mental Health in Dedham, we’re here for college students from the surrounding towns—think Wellesley College, Babson, Lasell University, or Regis College—who are navigating the chaos of student life while wrestling with mental health struggles. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is perfect for students like you—maybe a Wellesley undergrad feeling crushed by perfectionism, a Babson entrepreneur battling anxiety that’s tanking your focus, or a Lasell student quietly dealing with depression after a rocky semester. We connect best with those who are juggling classes, part-time jobs, or campus activities, but are hitting a wall with stress, mood swings, or even past tough experiences that keep creeping back. We thrive with students who want to tackle things like overwhelming worry, low energy, or habits they’ve picked up to cope—like too much drinking or scrolling—that aren’t helping anymore. You might be someone who’s sick of faking it through group projects or dorm hangouts, or who’s reeling from a big life shake-up, like losing a friend or failing a class you worked hard for. Our clients often just want to feel steady again—to get back to crushing that presentation, enjoying a night out, or even just sleeping without overthinking everything. Right off Route 128 in Dedham, we’re an easy trip from Needham, Westwood, or Newton, with a schedule that works around your college life—daytime sessions that let you still make that afternoon lecture or evening shift. Whether you’re the overachiever who’s burned out, the quiet one hiding how rough it’s been, or the social butterfly who’s lost your spark, our IOP gives you a judgment-free spot to figure it out with a team that gets what being a student around here is like. If you’re ready to take charge of your mental health and still keep your college groove, we’re here to help you feel stronger and more like yourself.
