I am a licensed therapist in Montana, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Colorado, and a nationally registered art therapist. I graduated from Mount Mary University in 2015 with a master's degree in Art Therapy with a concentration in Counseling. I have worked in residential treatment, educational settings, outpatient treatment, and addiction treatment. I have worked with children, teens, and adults providing individual, group, and family therapy. I have experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and substance abuse, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. I provide care using person-centered and trauma-informed approaches. I engage with clients empathetically and allow my clients to be the experts on themselves while I help guide the therapeutic process. I often adjust my counseling style to fit each individual's needs. I am glad that you are taking the first steps to improve your life and I look forward to working with you!
As a relationship, gender, and sexuality therapist, I'm here to help you to create more intimacy and connection in your relationships, explore your identities, and recalibrate toward a more authentic and compassionate life. I am particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ folks in exploring and healing from internalized homophobia and transphobia as they often manifest in anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Drawing primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), modern psychodynamic theory, and intersectional queer theory, I provide a validating and non-judgmental space for people to heal from past experiences and find deeper connection with themself and others. If you feel motivated to look at hard truths, ready to question what you’ve been taught you “should” be, and are even willing to sit in moments of discomfort and uncertainty along the way, we might be a great fit for working together. Regarding fees: I hold a limited number of reduced rate spots (starting at $100 per session) for folks who are unable to afford the full fee due to a range of factors such as low-paying employment and otherwise limited access to a financial safety net. Please reach out if you'd like to discuss more.

I offer a compassionate space to work through anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, grief, trauma, and relationship issues, to transition through stages of life, or to make meaning out of tough things you have been through along the way. Services are available to anyone in Colorado. For relationships, I serve as a guide to help partners build trust and understanding by learning how to feel more secure with one another. Depending on your needs, we can use elements of traditional talk therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, nature-based methods, CBT, and more. Hello, I'm Hope. A lot of us struggle to prioritize our wellness while balancing daily tasks, stressors, and especially during major life transitions such as college, career changes, relationship changes, and so on. Maybe you’re juggling college classes, being away from home and learning about this “adulting” thing. Or maybe you’re wondering how you became the adult & who let you be in charge?! If you’ve lost a sense of balance, if you live your life like everything is urgent, you are in the right place. If you’re not sure what you want or who you want to be but you feel a pressure to do it well (perhaps even perfectly!), I’m so glad you found me and I hope you’ll reach out!

As an openly queer, ADHD, highly sensitive, kinky, and non-monogamous therapist with 12 years of experience, I provide a deeply affirming, non-judgmental space for alternative relationship dynamics and sex-positive lifestyles. My approach is practical and structured, specializing in complex trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and relational concerns. I am Level 3 Trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, fully trained in EMDR, and utilize concrete tools from DBT and CBT to help clients break through stuck core beliefs, manage triggers, and foster authentic self-acceptance.
I offer virtual (online) sessions only at this time. Some sessions can be made by appointment if openings are not noted on my calendar - just ask! Sometimes the anxiety and depression that come with life changes, trauma, relationship issues or job stress can be distracting and affect our ability to thrive. When people work through their thoughts and feelings, they often report feeling more clarity and a deeper sense of vitality and purpose. You can expect to be gently challenged to explore your experiences in a safe, kind and private space when you work with me. I've helped people find more confident self expression in decision-making and relationships. I've also had people report performing better in sports, school or the arts. Many people find themselves making better, more positive behavioral changes as they feel better emotionally. I use an eclectic mix of theories, often including psychodynamic work, in therapy to include the entire person: mind, body and soul. I try to educate and empower people to use practical tools they learn in therapy in realistic, lifelong ways. It takes courage to be vulnerable and acknowledge you'd like some help along this journey. I know because I've been there myself. Take the first step and I'll meet you there.
