Welcome—I’m Targol. I support students, young adults, and emerging professionals who are navigating one of life’s most uncertain and transformative chapters. You might feel caught between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming—managing school, work, relationships, family expectations, identity, or just trying to make sense of it all. On the outside, it may look like you’ve got things under control, but inside, you could be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of your next steps. If you’ve ever thought, “I should have this figured out by now” or “Why does everyone else seem to have it together but me?”—you’re in good company. Many of my clients share those same thoughts. In our work together, we’ll create a space where you can show up just as you are—without pressure or performance—so you can begin to feel more grounded, connected, and empowered in your life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive—I show up with curiosity, not judgment, and tailor our work to reflect your unique values, strengths, and needs. Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. It can feel like a deep exhale. We’ll figure things out—together.
I am passionate about working with individuals dealing with eating disorders with anxiety, depression, & PTSD. I also provide comprehensive eating disorder consultations and assessments. I believe the relationship between client and therapist is a fundamental part of the healing process. As therapy is not a one size fits all model, I am dedicated to providing individualized treatment to my clients so they can focus on being their best selves. While I have experience working with a variety of populations; my area of focus lies with eating disorders and the co-morbid diagnosis that accompany them. Throughout my time working in the various levels of mental health and eating disorder care, I have learned how difficult it can be to navigate which treatment path is right for you. To aid in making this process easier, I will be providing comprehensive eating disorder assessments and consultations to help individuals find the level of care that best meets their needs.

If you are the person, everyone turns to, who do YOU turn to? You give everything to everyone else but never have time for you. It gets tiring always being the ''strong'' one. I see you. You might be struggling to get through the day or question yourself and your worth. This can look like anxiety, depression, problems recovering from a traumatic experience as an adult or as a child. I want to help you know what you DESERVE. Find the life you want and be more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and choices. Let's look inward and do this difficult but deeply important and rewarding work together. Currently, I can see clients who reside in Pennsylvania, California and North Carolina.
What is an Authentic Life Path? The question should really be What is YOUR Authentic Life Path? Often in the hustle and bustle of the “real world” we kind of just go with the flow and often lose ourselves. Sometimes it is scary to live our lives authentically. Living authentically means the person you feel you truly are on the inside. I started my career in the IT field, but realized I did not have a passion for it or enjoy it. I wanted to help others. I became a licensed marriage and family therapist, and am now living my authentic life path and want to help you find and live yours. I specialize in working with children, tweens, teens and adults who identify as transgender or genderqueer. I also specialize in the LGBTQIAA+ community. I work with all religions and spiritualities and all types of families no matter what the unique makeup. I provide a safe, supportive environment for you to explore yourself and grow into your most authentic self and find the path that is right for you. Give me a call or email if you have any questions.

Reaching out for help can be one of the hardest things to do when you're struggling the most. What if no one understands you or you feel judged? How do you know you can trust them to take you seriously or care? I understand that these are natural fears when you're sharing the hurt and vulnerable parts of yourself. For this reason, my goal is to make sure you feel safe and heard by providing an empathetic and judgement-free space regardless of your background. As a licensed clinical social worker, I have experience working with young and older adults of diverse backgrounds through issues related to identity, life transitions, depression, and anxiety. I also work with couples of all sexual orientations to improve communication, intimacy, and develop a more empathic understanding of each other.

At the Heart is a community counseling center whose goal is to bridge the gap that exists in access to services and to help heal our community, families, and individuals. All members of our community need respect and acceptance. Our counselors provide a caring and non-judgemental environment for clients to get the support and encouragement they need, when they need it. We provide both traditional/secular counseling and Christian based counseling, determined by a client's preference. We meet our clients where they are at and work collaboratively to help each client achieve their individual goals. We have several different kinds of providers. We have a Peer or Lay Counseling Division which is an every day person that is passionate and has a heart for helping others, life experience, and has completed a 13 week (40 hour) counseling course through At the Heart. The course addresses depression, trauma, anxiety, suicidality, grief/loss, child abuse, domestic violence, addiction, and mindfulness. We have a Professional Division which involves Trainees, Associates/Interns, and Pastors. Trainees are Graduate/Doctoral school students in the field of counseling that need to acquire hours towards graduation and licensure. Associate and Interns are Post-Masters/Doctoral Graduates that are accruing hours towards licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Professional Clinical Counseling. All of our counseling staff receive weekly case consultation and supervision by a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that has special training in supervising non-licensed clinicians.
