Vada Counseling is therapy for and by queer Texans. Our licensed therapists provide safe, supportive, in-person and virtual therapy via individual, couples, family, and group counseling. All our therapists are queer, intersectional feminists, and use liberation-based (anti-oppression) therapy approaches. Whether you’re wanting to explore your queer identity, thinking about coming out, struggling with depression or anxiety, or feeling the impact of all the anti-LGBTQ+ bullsh*t legislation, we're here for you. In addition to gender and sexuality, our specialties include anxiety/panic, climate distress, dating, depression, existential crises, first-gen issues, intergenerational trauma, neurodivergence, racial/cultural identity, school stress, self-worth, self-harm and sexual trauma.
Healing Lane Therapy is a specialized private practice with experienced clinicians socializing in treating borderline personality disorder (BPD), trauma, challenges with phase of life and identify exploration, substance use disorders, depression, and anxiety. Our clinicians use a relational approach to develop a meaningful and secure attachment to the people they are so fortunate to work with in their therapy work. We also utilize dialectical behavior therapy, attachment based therapy, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
In-network telehealth psychiatry for Kansas and Texas. Many of the students I work with are navigating big life changes, academic pressure, and the challenges of balancing school with everything else in life. You might be feeling stressed, anxious, unfocused, down, or just “off” and not like yourself. Some students come to me because they’re struggling to manage ADHD symptoms, experiencing depression or anxiety, or coping with grief and loss. Others simply know they’re not feeling their best and want support before things get worse. If you’re looking for someone who listens without judgment, helps you make sense of what you’re going through, and works with you to create a plan that fits your life, we may be a great match. Together, we can find strategies—whether through medication, lifestyle changes, or both—to help you feel more focused, balanced, and confident in yourself.

I believe in tracing symptoms to their roots. My approach to counseling is about creating a space of trust and rapport to collect dots, to connect dots, to ultimately, correct the dots. You’re juggling a lot. Classes, work, friends, family, money, maybe figuring out who you are and what you actually want from life. And somewhere in the middle of all that, your mental health is supposed to “keep up.” My practice is here for that in-between space—when things aren’t exactly falling apart, but they’re definitely not okay. I work with college students who are dealing with anxiety, overthinking, burnout, relationship stress, grief, and big life transitions. Together, we slow things down, sort through the noise, and build practical tools you can actually use in real life. Sessions are judgment-free, conversational, and tailored to you—no pressure to be “put together” or say the perfect thing. You can come as you are: exhausted, unsure, overwhelmed, or just curious about therapy. If you’re ready to feel a little less stuck and a little more like yourself again, you’re in the right place.
You're a woman who grew up without the emotional nurturing you needed by having a distant parent, inconsistent caregiving, or years spent being the strong one. You desired love, but received mental and emotional pain from people you trusted. Now, these early wounds are showing up as anxiety, self-doubt, depression, overthinking, trauma-responses, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected and lost. You want peace, clarity, wholeness, and the ability to break generational patterns so you can show up fully, with purpose, and thrive in life as a woman, a partner, a parent, and/or a professional. I help women heal from the impact of childhood emotional wounds using a trauma-informed, faith-integrated approach. I work towards guiding women to rebuild self-trust, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, and create an inner safety they've always deserved. I provide a therapeutic and transformational frame through individual, couples, and group work. You don't have to keep carrying these wounds alone. Healing is possible. It is time to experience a safe space where your story is honored without judgment. If you're ready for supportive work that helps you to feel whole again, I'd be honored to walk with you on this journey. Let's take the next step together.
Mental health is defined as the ability to love, and the ability to work; to be able to have stable and emotionally fulfilling relationships with others, to take care of your daily needs, and to be able to enjoy using your time creatively and productively. As a counselor, I aim to join with my clients and help them identify their troubles, explore their origins, and create unique solutions to help them live the life they hope for. While my work is very relational and focuses more on meeting the unique needs of individuals, I use specific techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have seven years experience working with young adults, especially neurodivergent young adults on the autism spectrum or with ADHD or learning differences. I particularly enjoy vocational counseling and helping clients navigate life transitions. Many of my clients have complicated diagnositic histories and may have struggled to connect with other counselors in the past. I accept insurance through Headway and also accept private pay through card, cash, check, or Zelle. Please feel free to ask me about sliding scale.
Many young adults come to therapy during periods of transition—when questions about identity, direction, relationships, or emotional stability begin to feel more pressing. You may be capable and reflective, yet internally unsettled, anxious, or unsure how to make sense of what you’re experiencing. Depression in young adulthood can show up as numbness, loss of motivation, or feeling disconnected from yourself or your life’s direction. Anxiety often appears as overthinking, comparison, or a persistent sense of uncertainty about choices and the future. Perfectionism may drive achievement while making it difficult to feel settled, confident, or at ease. I offer a thoughtful, depth-oriented approach that integrates psychodynamic understanding and somatic awareness. Together, we explore emotional and relational patterns, attend to the body’s experience, and move at a pace that supports insight, integration, and a more grounded sense of self over time.
There is no magic button or quick-fix solution when it comes to making a change. I find that I am the best fit for individuals who are looking to enhance their emotional well being and want to challenge themselves. I specialize in helping individuals struggling with life transitions, depression, and anxiety. My therapeutic approach considers clients to be the experts in their life, with my role as a guide to help uncover negative patterns and work towards positive change.
