Therapists for college students near Austin, TX
Ramir's Counseling Center of Hope was created by a Licensed Professional Counselor who had a vision to encourage, motivate and provide access to tools needed to overcome current circumstances. Ramir stands for Rising Above My Inner Rival. Ramir is confirmation that we can accomplish anything regardless of the opposition we face. On March 7, 2018 the Ramir's Counseling Center of Hope, PLLC was established and confirmation was received that the storm was not meant to last always. As a child, mental health was present in my family and thus prepared me for the dynamics of not only the diagnosis but more importantly the person and those that surround them. Growing up, I played a part and everyone was treated the same regardless of their mental status, pill count, change in mood, IQ, anxiety level or temporary isolation that would occur. We, as a family, understood what it would take to maintain our family. My goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to provide an environment that reciprocates what my family and community offered. There is no special formula that can erase your situation but there is a way to get through it. The Inner Rival is the battle we have within, which is usually hidden from the world. Although at times, what we are facing is situational, it has an effect on us internally. The purpose of Ramir's Counseling Center of Hope, PLLC, is to work with each client to expose, address and conquer whatever that may be. So, I ask, are you ready? Below you will find my educational background. Education: University of North Texas Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Minor in Social Science Certificate in Substance Abuse Studies Amberton University Master of Arts in Professional Counseling *I am a Therapist licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

Howdy! My name is A.B. and I’m a queer, nonbinary therapist born and raised right here in Texas. Don’t let the folksy exterior fool you: growing up in a small town taught me to treat strangers like family, to uplift and respect the folks around me, and, as my granddad always said, “If you can help ’em, then help ’em.” I’ve brought those values into my therapy work and left the bigotry and systemic oppression behind like the hogwash it is. I practice from a place of cultural humility, guided by the stories, strengths, and values my clients bring to the table. You’re the expert on your life, I’m just here to walk alongside you, bringing the tools I’ve got in my toolbelt to help you navigate whatever’s weighing you down. There’s nothing too big we can’t face together, and I trust that with you in the lead, we can work toward the outcomes you’re hoping for in therapy. I specialize in supporting clients through trauma, grief, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, neurodivergence, identity exploration, crisis recovery, and relationship challenges. I also love working with children and their families around emotional regulation, school and family stress, and communication. I’ve got a soft spot for neurodivergent kids (and adults!) and bring a lot of energy and creativity into that work. In session, I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused, narrative, and collaborative therapies, plus a lot more. So don’t be surprised if I throw in a little art-making, somatic work, or IFS (parts work) now and then. I’m committed to being a lifelong learner, and if something isn’t clicking, I’ll work with you to find what does. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2023, and before that, I got my B.A. in Theatre Education. So I’m definitely open to getting creative in sessions, though just plain talkin’ is great, too. Outside of therapy, I love baking, storytelling in all its forms (theatre, concerts, poetry slams, and tabletop RPGs), and learning about folks whose lives are different from mine. I also enjoy spending time with my partner and our beloved pets Pip, Charlie, and Winston. If you think I might be the right counselor for you, I’d be honored to meet you. Feel free to email me at ab@vadacounseling.com or schedule a free consultation online.
With over 10 years of experience in pastoral counseling, I bring a compassionate and grounded presence to the counseling relationship. My background includes walking with individuals through grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, as well as exploring questions of faith, identity, and meaning. These experiences have shaped my approach as one rooted in empathy, insight, and hope. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and completing my practicum at AE Counseling under the supervision of Ami Evans. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your story, reclaim your voice, and move toward healing and growth. Whether you’re navigating stress, loss, relationship challenges, or spiritual concerns, I will meet you with compassion and respect. I believe deeply in the power of connection and in honoring each person’s unique path. My counseling style is trauma-informed and person-centered, integrating clinical best practices with a holistic respect for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to build resilience, strengthen self-understanding, and foster hope for what is possible.
I believe that healing occurs through relationships, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey. Health is something we can never stop growing in. In order to reach optimal health, and we must nurture our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Everyone is special and unique, and your counseling sessions will reflect that. Together we will establish goals, and I will equip you with tools and resources to use not only in our sessions, but most importantly, into your daily life, no matter the circumstance. I will be right there with you as you learn more about yourself and the world you are a part of. I believe that health is something we can never stop growing in. My name is Bintou Schoen and I am a board certified general adult psychiatrist. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background working with people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, psychosis, social anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship problems, etc. I received my undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. I then attended the Medical College of Georgia where I obtained my medical degree. After that, I received my psychiatric training at the University of South Florida in Tampa Florida. I perform psychiatric evaluations and formulate treatment plans with input from my patients - no single approach is right for every individual. I very much like a positive and practical approach to mental health treatment including medication management and therapy. I think it is important to find balance in your life and it starts with improving self-esteem and good self care. I like a person centered approach meaning finding solutions that work for you based on your values and priorities.
Hi! I am a licensed professional counselor and graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. I also hold a Master degree in School Counseling. My pursuit of a counseling degree began after 9 years of teaching elementary students. That experience helped me come to terms with my passion for students to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
I practice an integrative approach depending on the needs of the client with an emphasis on the Person-Centered and Solution-Focused Approach to therapy. My approach depends on the needs of the client. The goal is to assist clients in creating a comprehensive plan for setting and achieving goals; helping to facilitate behavioral change; assisting in helping clients to establish and maintain relationships; and assisting in enhancing client's effectiveness and coping. EMDR and trauma-focused therapy is also available.
Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.
Sometimes we have moments in our lives were we feel lost in our present and wonder where our confident past self went. We have other moments where we feel pulled in many directions by friends, family, work, and or school. This feeling of being pulled is overwhelming and sometimes brings about guilt. My name is Adenike (Aah-deh-knee-keh). I am a first-generation Nigerian/Haitian, queer, cis woman; my pronouns are she/her. Let’s sit down and talk about life. I will hold a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental space for your unique life experiences, true authentic self, and help guide you through life in a way that feels most comfortable

Hi! I'm Rosie (she/her). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of both Georgia and Texas. I work primarily with young adults (20s and 30s), and many of my clients are people who identify as LGBTQIA+. I have special focus in trauma processing, ADHD management, and career exploration. Throughout my social work career I have passionately advocated for racial, social and economic justice through the empowerment of individuals and groups including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with HIV, people experiencing homelessness, people with mental illness, people with disabilities, veterans, children and youth, and more. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist myself, I am mindful of how people’s identities factor into their experience of the world and their experience in therapy. I believe that people begin to heal the moment they feel heard. While I do incorporate interventions like CBT, EMDR, IFS, and distress tolerance, my first and foremost focus is to be unconditionally on your team and on your side. Past clients have told me that I am a natural listener and am genuine and warm in how I relate to people. When I am not obsessing over the personality psychology phenomenon known as the enneagram, I enjoy laying in the sun with a good podcast, jogging the Atlanta beltline, reading, cooking, yoga, and exploring the local food scene.
