I have also received additional training and certifications in various evidence-based therapies and interventions. Are you looking for a mental health provider who can help you with your depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or substance abuse? If so, you have come to the right place. I offer medication management and supportive therapy. My goal is to help you overcome your mental health challenges and improve your well-being. I offer medication management, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, crisis intervention and referral to other resources. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I obtained both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler. I have over 11 years of experience in nursing working in various fields and with a variety of patient populations. I have experience working with patients needing mental health services both inpatient and outpatient. I am dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with mental health concerns by increasing access to those needing mental health treatment while providing support, compassion, and understanding. I am here for the patient and want to ensure that all his or her needs are met. I have a passion for working in mental health services and genuinely care about each individual. I listen to his or her concerns and history to develop a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan with the patient. The patients preferences and needs will lead the treatment approach initially and going forward. I include the patient in all aspects of care. Listening to his or her concerns, symptoms, and history is an important starting point in developing a diagnosis. The diagnosis is thoroughly discussed with the patient and I will answer any questions that present. Following the diagnosis, a plan of care is developed with the patients input. Patient preferences for therapy, medication, or both, are included in the treatment plan, and any referrals necessary will be made. Medication, if necessary and agreed upon, will be called in to the patients preferred pharmacy and any remaining questions or concerns will be addressed. A follow-up visit to assess ongoing effectiveness of the treatment plan will be made. At consecutive appointments, any necessary changes to the treatment plan will be made. However, I am available for concerns, questions, or needs that may arise prior to follow-up visits when needed.

Hi! I’m Dariel; like Ariel, but with a D! I am licensed in IL(LCPC) and TX(LPC). I received my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator--A highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. I integrate her work and research of vulnerability and shame resiliency into all of my work with clients in their personal and professional lives. When I see clients, I like to work from a strengths based approach. We focus not only on what you are struggling with, but also what you have done well in the past or are currently doing well. I believe it is as equally important to focus on strengths and effective skills, as it is to focus on weaknesses and maladaptive behaviors, so that you can gain greater awareness and deeper meaning on your healing journey. I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to: Focus on supporting improving self-esteem, accessing inner strengths and resilience, and helping to learn more about self by exploring thoughts and feelings. Provide tools to learn how to manage difficult emotions so that you can meet your identified goals. Normalize that healing is about understanding our fragile parts--shifting from places that keep us stuck, and going to places that help us soar.

With a focus on evidence-based practices and cultural humility, I aim to provide care that respects each client’s background and individual preferences. My process begins with acknowledging the client’s presence, explaining to the client what to expect during the session, which includes break down of the session into two parts: basics and the main subjects. After assessing their needs, I collaborate closely with the client to establish treatment goals and create a tailored plan that may include therapy, medication management, or a combination of both. Throughout our work together, I maintain an ongoing dialogue to monitor progress, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and ensure the client feels supported and empowered. I believe in holistic, collaborative approach that includes open communication, transparency, and a commitment to fostering a positive therapeutic relationship.
