Therapists for college students near Temple University
At Compass we understand that it is important for you to feel understood, heard and supported. When we all are working as a team, those things will be automatic. Our approach is direct yet very compassionate. Our goal is for us together to identify the cause of your issues, to develop what is needed and how it can be achieved. We would like to get you unstuck and on the path to happiness. As your therapists, we will learn about the life that you have and develop goals that are tailored to you and focused on your success during this journey. We are looking forward to working with you.
Let’s be real. Life is hard. It is messy and crazy and sometimes, it just feels out of control. Your space is a mess, your roommates are on your last nerve, you have a major assignment to work on, and you just cannot get a moment to think straight. Then there’s that thought in the background that you’re not doing enough, that you’re not enough. You’re questioning yourself and feeling overwhelmed. College is hard. This phase of life is hard. Feeling the pressure to succeed can feel unbearable. This is where therapy comes in. To learn how to address these thoughts & emotions in a safe space and develop a plan of action to move forward, feeling confident in yourself.
I work well with young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, and with social problems. You may be overwhelmed by school, undecided about your future plans, in a bad relationship, suffering from loneliness, wondering what the point of it all is, having a hard time getting out of bed. If this sounds like you, give me a call. I want to help you find peace in your life.
Are you struggling with grief, anxiety, self-worth issues, trauma or everyday personal relationships? A supportive connection and listening ear can make a world of difference. My approach is to create a supportive partnership where we work together solving problems, discovering solutions and experiencing greater peace. My goal is to support you in having a better understanding of your inner world, to gain perspective about who you are in relationships and to increase overall health. Most importantly, I want to know the life you want for yourself and help you reach that vision.
Life is challenging and trying to figure out who you are, where you are going and what your purpose is, is hard enough. Then we throw in friendships, romantic relationships, careers and family dynamics and we can get overwhelmed so easily. In therapy we work together to find clarity. I have significant experience helping young adults in their 20s and 30s to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression by exploring relationship and work difficulties, figuring out adulthood, and navigate feeling lost amongst your peers. I work with college students and young professionals navigating young early adulthood. Where we go in therapy depends on you. I take my expertise and knowledge and tailor it to meet your personal needs and what would bring you relief. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which is rooted in mindfulness and self-compassion with a focus on living a life that makes you feel fulfilled. Whether this is your first time looking for a therapist or you've traveled down this road before, good for you. Asking for help requires courage. If you are looking to work with a therapist that will be interactive, non-judgmental, empathic and kind, reach out to see if we are a good fit. We will set up at 10minute call to see if we are good fit!

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re used to pushing things down, holding it together for everyone else, or telling yourself, “I should be fine by now.” Maybe part of you wants support & another part is unsure, tired, or scared to open things back up. If that’s you, it makes a lot of sense. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns like people-pleasing, constant self-doubt, overthinking, or feeling burned out. You might feel on edge all the time, replay conversations in your head, or struggle to trust yourself & your choices. Others come in carrying the weight of trauma.
Hi there! Thank you for pausing here. Deciding to look for help was hard to begin with and finding the right helper seems even more difficult, I know. Whatever issues you are facing, perhaps its depression that is attached to your past, stress related to your present, or anxiety that is attaching itself to your future, I can help you work through it. It’s a privilege for me to be able to share lessons of hope and walk alongside my clients, until they have the breakthrough that they so desperately desire. My greatest joy is to see you step out from darkness into a brighter, lighter future – stronger, wiser, and hopeful! Life has not always been easy, so let's talk about it. There’s a Japanese practice of using liquid gold to fill in the cracks of broken pottery. Kintsugi, as it’s called, teaches that broken objects are not something to hide but to display with pride. I am here to help you fill the cracks and move on with your life. The one that is truly meant for you. - Talk soon, Gloria

Change is so hard, and anxiety, depression and grief often accompany it. Fortunately, so does new growth, new beginnings and healing. I specialize in supporting people who are navigating change and life transitions. I center attachment and relationships and believe they are the foundation of our ability to feel secure in the face of difficulty. I support people through separations, adjustment, family conflict, grief and loss, trauma and racial identity development. As we heal our relationship with self, we show up more fully in relationship with others. My work is an intersection of my earth based spirituality, Buddhist teachings, Western neuroscience, and the belief that we are all here to care for each other in relationship, and in doing so, we can find deep healing and peace. I use an integrative approach that weaves together Mindfulness, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (somatic), Attachment and Relational Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Expressive Arts practices. I work with diverse populations, and continue to lean into anti-racist, LGBTQ+, and sex positive affirmative practices. This is a space in which I honor your process. Together we will make room for and clarify what needs tending to and help you feel resourced and empowered to move towards healing.
Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or anxious? Are you struggling with your self-confidence? Would you like to work on more effective communication? I am here to help! My approach to therapy involves creating a safe, warm, comfortable environment. In my practice I treat anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief, and relationship issues. My role as a therapist is to help you learn the tools for a less stressed, happier, more confident you.
Your mental health matters. I offer creative and empathetic counseling services to meet you where you are. I am here to help you foster self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence. We live in an especially stressful time, and we all need extra support. There is no one-size fits all approach to therapy, so I utilize an empathetic, person-centered approach, bringing in tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, and CBT where appropriate. Together, we will develop goals and a treatment plan to help you become the best version of yourself.
If you’ve found me, you may have a burnt-out nervous system, or/and neurodivergent mind. You may be highly sensitive, ADHD, sick of people pleasing, grieving, spiritually uncertain, chronically ill, overwhelmed… & you want to understand the patterns that have you feeling so tired. I have been a therapist for 10+ years, learning the whole time. My clinical background includes my LPC, along with an ADHD clinical service provider certification. I strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment, as I believe therapeutic growth is enhanced by the presence of the authentic self.
