Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, burned out? Are you dealing with anxiety, depression, or difficulty in adjusting? I believe that every person can benefit from counseling and that finding the right match with your provider matters. My theoretical orientation follows the person-centered approach to counseling, which recognizes the potential of clients to determine their own best treatment. I believe in a collaborative effort between counselor and client and will work with you to achieve the most beneficial outcome for you, as an individual.. My approach is based on my belief that we all have the capacity to improve our own well-being and that counseling can often be a catalyst toward change. My hope and intention are to work with you to define your counseling goals and to help you discover the best way to achieve those goals.

People come to therapy for many different reasons, but, at the core, they are looking for understanding, relief, or growth. Maybe you’re trying to understand why you feel the way you do, or you find yourself caught in the same difficult thoughts again and again. Perhaps you’ve noticed patterns of behavior that seem to work against your own well-being. You might be facing a life transition—chosen or not—and are feeling anxious about what’s next. Or maybe you just feel stuck. Therapy offers a space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening. Together, we can clarify your current experience, explore how you got here, and begin to shape a healthier, more fulfilling path forward.

Andrew Shroyer is a Jungian-oriented therapist who works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and existential or spiritual concerns. He sees therapy as more than symptom management—it is a space for meaning-making, inner exploration, and developing a deeper relationship with the psyche. Many college students today lack the coping skills that are necessary to address life’s ups and downs. They often feel disconnected emotionally, and are unable to handle stress, peer and relationship issues, or the school, college, or work environment. When a teen is struggling with academics, they receive tutoring or support to develop the skills they need to succeed. Emotional health is no different. Teens need tools to help them regulate their emotions, develop connections with others, and create a healthy, well-rounded lifestyle. I take an integrated, solution-focused approach to working with adolescents and young adults who are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I treat the whole person, not just their symptoms, with the goal of giving them the tools they need to manage whatever comes their way – now and for the rest of their lives.

We believe that psychological well-being and healing come from our ability to foster awareness, understanding and acceptance of our experience of life as a whole - the good, the bad and everything in between. Talking with a therapist can often help facilitate this kind of personal growth. We believe that through developing a trusting relationship, therapist and client can explore aspects of the client’s struggle and the experience of relating to each other in deeper, more honest and productive ways. While each therapist in our practice has a unique approach to the work, we all share a deep appreciation for the importance of meaning making and lived experience in understanding human experience and effective therapy.
