Hello & Welcome! I’m Serenity Rorie, an associate licensed therapist, with AHN Chill Project, who works with teens and young adults who are trying to figure things out—whether that’s school stress, relationships, anxiety, identity, or just feeling overwhelmed by life. I get that opening up to someone new can feel weird or even scary at first. That’s why I focus on creating a space where you can be real—no judgment, no pressure. Just a place to talk, vent, explore what’s going on, and work toward feeling more like yourself again. My approach to therapy is supportive, down-to-earth, and tailored to you. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, develop tools to cope with stress or tough emotions, and figure out what’s getting in the way of you feeling more confident and in control. Whether you’re going through a tough time, dealing with mental health challenges, or just trying to make sense of life, I’m here to support you—at your pace, in your style. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to start somewhere. Looking forward to meeting you, Serenity Rorie, LAPC
Are you ready to start a new path in your life? Or are you feeling weighed down by the heaviness of fatigue, worry, trauma, grief, or the pain of your past? You are not alone. Together we will understand your suffering, draw from your strengths, and develop new ways of coping with life’s challenges. As a therapist, I provide a unique integration of humanistic, experiential constructivist, and mindfulness-based therapies. I am passionate about serving the underserved, particularly the needs of the African American community. As a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, I am also invested in responding to the challenges veterans face while at home and abroad. Aside from being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, (anywhere with water!), failed attempts at salsa dancing, chocolate, and church.
College can be a very difficult time for us. We may face some changes and also notice new expectations for ourselves during these transitional moments. It is highly likely to feel confused at times and unsure of where we see ourselves next. I want to help you become the best version of yourself so that you are better suited for making these decisions and feel comfortable with them! My Supervisor is Bill Coffey, License number: CW014371

I also have specialized training in treating adolescents and young adults with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions. I obtained my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Case Western Reserve University, followed by a clinical internship at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. My postdoctoral research training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine focuses on promoting well-being during life transitions among individuals and families experiencing chronic stress. Due to recent circumstances, Reset Outdoors is currently only offering phone or video chat sessions. We hope to be able to offer in-person sessions again soon. Reset Outdoors offers both a traditional session format, as well as nontraditional outdoor sessions geared towards creating a therapeutic experience in the great outdoors. By creating a supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathetic atmosphere, I help my clients to feel safe in exploring their struggles, fears, hopes, and strengths. I specialize in issues related to gender, sexuality, anxiety, depression, and trauma. For individuals pursing medical transition, I offer single-session evaluations for HRT and surgery referrals. I believe strongly in tailoring my approach to each of my clients' individual needs and therefore utilize a number of therapeutic techniques in my treatment approach. In our outdoor session format, we combine the inherent benefits of responsive listening, low-impact physical exercise, and the great outdoors. It is my belief that each individual already possesses exactly what they need to achieve healing, therefore I will do my best to support you in your efforts to uncover your own power, resilience, and sense of peace. I can be reached best through email at: emily@resetoutdoors.com

"Do you want to simply "survive" in life, or do you want to "thrive" in life? Unfortunately many of us are simply surviving. With over two decades in the field of human services I, along with my dedicated staff have created a space coupled with highly effective treatment approaches to help you to live again! We offer services to those who need to heal from: depression, anxiety, family conflict, life transitions, trauma, and grief and loss. When we rid our lives of these "toxins", we make room to begin a life journey that we never thought was possible! My commitment is to work with individuals by helping them live to their fullest potential by way of providing support, encouragement and empowerment. My work is strength based in order to build a solid treatment foundation. (i.e. Instead of what's "wrong" with you, what's "right" with you?) A Journey to You offers a space that is conveniently located, has plenty of free parking, and is wheelchair accessible. The environment is quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated, providing a place where individuals can feel a level of safety and contentment in which to work.
I have been a therapist for over 30 years and have focused my work around helping clients develop healthy, satisfying relationships. I find that the people I see feel isolated, disappointed, and fearful of connecting with others. My approach is psychodynamic meaning that I see current concerns as a function of past relationships with significant people in one's life.

I am a versatile, dedicated clinician who is passionate about helping you uncover your true self, and pull back the layers that have gotten in the way. If you are feeling emotionally out-of-control, overwhelmed or plagued by your past, allow me to walk alongside you as we come up with a solution together. My clinical background spans over 16 years and includes work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings (teens and adults). At my core, I am a humanistic therapist. Although I am versatile, I do hold certifications in both DBT and trauma-informed care. I'm happy to work with individuals ages 14+, as well as couples. If any of this resonates, please reach out today by phone or email. Our dedicated staff at Seasons of Hope and Healing are happy to assist. I have immediate openings for daytime sessions both virtually (statewide) or in Warren. There is a 2-3 week wait for evening sessions at this time. Providing therapy is truly my passion and I am happy to help!
