Welcome! What is a mosaic? It is little imperfect pieces of glass or tile that come together to form beautiful art. How can we create a mosaic within ourselves and in our lives? All the broken pieces of glass or tile can represent trauma, experiences, life journeys, and parts of our self that we sometimes don’t necessarily know how to understand them to incorporate them into our sense of self. I have a passion for working with people to help them to understand these broken pieces, and help them to put these pieces together in a way that creates the beautiful mosaic that is YOU! I have 18 years of experience, specializing in working with transition-aged youth (ages 16-24), adults, and people of color that struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, among other life challenges that people may face. I also strive to understand what your needs are and work with you in a way that can meet those needs to best assist you in therapy. Please contact me if you are interested in taking a step forward in your life journey that can lead to discovering and understanding the beautiful mosaic of you!

I help clients recover from anxiety and depression and improve social relationships. I offer an insight-oriented approach. I also do EMDR and parts work. These modalities are helpful for trauma recovery and changing unhappy patterns. My goals are for clients to feel supported and understood. I recognize that each person has their own, internal wisdom. I like to understand and honor this wisdom as I work with you to build better mental health.

With my client-centered focus, I work hard to build a therapeutic relationship that creates a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space for clients to present themselves to their fullest potential. My priority is to guide and support each client in their journey to develop their sense of self-love, confidence, and peace of mind and body. Some of the issues I work with are relationship issues, academic stress, ADHD, parenting support, parent-child relationship issues, peer conflict, family conflict, anxiety, depression, cultural adjustment, life transitions, coping skills and general stress. I have extensive experience working with high-risk children, teens, and families experiencing a diverse range of emotional and behavioral problems at home and school, and symptoms resulting from disrupted attachment. I also have experience working with clients from minority cultures and marginalized groups. Growing up in another country, having knowledge and experience around a diversity of cultures allows me to be more open-minded, compassionate, and humble in supporting clients through a more holistic lens. It is never easy to take the first step, know that my goal in the therapeutic process is to create a safe and supportive environment for you.

I provide comprehensive medication management for ADHD, depression, insomnia, PMDD, PTSD, and weight management. But I don't just treat symptoms. I treat the whole person. That means we're going to look at the full picture: your sleep habits, screen time, nutrition, movement, stress levels, and how you communicate. Because all of it matters. Your brain doesn't exist in a vacuum, and neither do your symptoms. If you're running on autopilot, procrastinating on work, can't focus, can't sleep, can't stick to the routines you know would help... you're frustrated with your eating habits, your exercise patterns, or how you feel during certain times of the month, or maybe you just don't feel like yourself lately. I can help. If you're ready to stop wasting energy on what drains you and start investing it where it actually counts, let's get started.

Each person brings with them a different story and unique perspective, which gives us the opportunity to meet you where you are in that moment, with empathy and support. At Steps to Change, LLC we frequently work with people around life transitions, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality, acute and chronic trauma issues, self empowerment, parenting, chronic illness (invisible and visible) as well as grief and loss. We enjoy working with individuals in a welcoming space that is created together through the therapeutic relationship. We believe the role of the therapist is to be there as a guide in the process of helping you trust your inner self more and assist in learning new coping strategies to better manage the adversities in life. All services are via Tele-Health, which gives the Client the comfort of their items and space during the sessions, often helping to feel more secure. Please email to schedule an appointment as written communication works best. Hours of availability are Monday-Wednesday with no evening availability. My goal is to bring a warm presence, calm demeanor, and intentionality to the therapeutic space. I understand that building connection and rapport are the foundation to all other therapeutic work and therefore I prioritize an environment where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood without judgement. My purpose as a therapist is to provide that safe place where together we can explore your conscious and unconscious thoughts and gain insight into the parts of your life where you may be having difficulty. I recognize that therapy is a collaborative effort, and that each client is the expert in their own life. Thus, I will work with you to understand your unique life experiences and create a tailored treatment plan so that you can reach healing and wholeness. I will assist you on this journey by helping you understand how past experiences are impacting you, and will help you identify your own strengths, skills, and goals by providing tools that you can use even long after therapy is finished. I have experience supporting needs related to: children and youth, young adults, families, life transitions, drug and alcohol issues, trauma, attachment challenges, co-dependency, self-esteem, depression, suicidal ideation, grief, and anxiety.

I strive to provide an environment of safety, acceptance, and empowerment. My approach is described as easy-going, direct and nonjudgmental. I respect my clients’ needs and welcome the opportunity to work with people of diverse backgrounds, identities, and relationships. My goal is to help you find relief through expanded self-awareness, healing of old wounds, increased connectedness, development of practical tools, and shifting out of old/unhelpful patterns. People often come into therapy with coping mechanisms that no longer serve them. I work to find balance by providing support as well as challenging you, to encourage growth while also promoting compassion for who and where you are now. I really value being a safe person for my clients in a world that can feel unsafe. I have expertise and a passion for trauma recovery, identity exploration (including gender & sexual identity), navigating systems of oppression, attachment, and relational concerns. I’ve specialized in EMDR for 11 years, and utilize mindfulness, CBT, polyvagal theory, ego state, and DBT- with my approach being tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.

You might be feeling stuck: disconnected from yourself, your relationships, or the kind of life you want to be living. Maybe you're navigating stress from high expectations or caregiving roles, or struggling to feel close to others even when you crave connection. You may carry pain from earlier experiences or feel like you've had to hide parts of yourself just to get by. Whatever brings you here, you're considering the brave and vulnerable work of change, and that is huge. I work with people who are ready to feel more grounded, more connected, and more like themselves. I bring a particular focus on working with LGBTQ+ and multiply marginalized clients navigating the emotional toll of invisibility, hypervisibility, or living in systems not built for them, but enjoy working with clients of all identities who may be feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I am neurodiversity-affirming, use an attachment-based lens, and provide letters for gender-affirming medical services. You don’t have to go through this alone, and you don’t have to explain your existence before we can get to the heart of things. In addition to individual therapy, I offer CNM-inclusive relationship therapy. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy and an attachment-based lens to help partners feel safer, more seen, and more emotionally connected. We focus on shifting out of reactive cycles and into more secure, responsive ways of relating. I bring a warm, relational, trauma-informed approach that honors your wisdom and your goals. Together, we can explore what’s getting in the way, deepen your emotional insight, and create space for more authenticity, clarity, and intimacy in your life. When you feel safe and seen, amazing things can happen.
