Choosing to start therapy is a brave and meaningful step, and I’m honored to walk alongside you on this journey. My approach focuses on creating a welcoming, compassionate space where we can explore your experiences together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, identity exploration, or significant life transitions, I’m here to support you every step of the way. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, with a specialization in working with LGBTQ+ couples and families. My background includes experience in Crisis Counseling through The Trevor Project, where I had the privilege of supporting LGBTQ+ youth during some of their most difficult moments. I’m deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples work through relationship complexities, identity concerns, and the pressures of society. Whether you’re healing from family rejection, seeking to improve communication, or striving to build resilience, I’m committed to helping you foster healing and deeper connections. My therapeutic approach integrates models like Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, which enable me to address relational dynamics, empower clients to reshape their narratives and provide an affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and families. My ultimate goal is to help you cultivate a sense of belonging while honoring your unique path.

I worked in college counseling for four years, (2021-2025) and understand the unique challenges students face along with the systemic factors that can greatly impact students. Your mental health and wellbeing is essential for navigating the college experience, and you deserve support through this journey. When working together, we usually focus on whatever is most pressing for you. For some, this looks like discussing an upsetting situation and processing the emotions they are feeling, then finding ways to make these emotions more manageable so that they can function in their day-to-day life. Other times, we focus more deeply on connecting patterns and themes that have developed over the course of your life and figuring out how to navigate the world differently. I often help students to better understand and identify their feelings by pausing, slowing down, and connecting the mind and the body. We can work on how to handle distressing feelings without constant avoidance or distractions, how to communicate more effectively, and how to create meaning and wholeness. If you feel anxious, depressed, stressed out, and are having difficulty with managing all of the things you're trying to balance between your personal life and academic responsibilities, reach out and I am happy to connect and see if we'd be a good fit.

Hello and Welcome! Whether you're new to mental health care or have tried it out already, making the decision to seek care is an important investment in your overall wellbeing. In my private practice, I care for concerns that are common among people in university settings, including anxiety, depression, stress, sleep, and self esteem. I provide both medication management and psychotherapy services. In psychotherapy, I also work with people on all kinds of issues that may not have a specific diagnosis to go with them, but which still can have a big impact on wellbeing, like navigating life transitions, relationships, family, setting goals, and managing the stress of the world and of being a student or university employee! My practice strives to be open and welcoming for people of all backgrounds and lived experiences. If you'd like to learn more about my practice, background, treatment philosophy, or fee ranges for different types of visits, please check out my website.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a virtual practice in NY and GA. I offer psychotherapy for adults navigating life transitions and struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, and shame. I also specialize in helping people make peace with their bodies and heal their relationships with food and exercise. I see therapy as a deeply rewarding experience where you can cultivate self compassion, self acceptance, and flexibility. We'll create a safe space where you can process distressing feelings or challenges, grow in self understanding, build and practice new ways of coping, and move towards living a full life that's in line with your true values. My integrative approach as a therapist means I'll always be responsive to your reasons for being in therapy and what you want to find. I have an open, exploratory style, but I also won't hesitate to share more concrete resources or suggest practices to test out in between sessions if we decide together it might help.

Life can sneak up on us without warning and emotional stressors impact all individuals without discrimination. Many times people turn to ineffective coping strategies as a means of escaping emotional pain. I believe that the most successful path to healing is one that treats the whole person, not just the symptoms. I understand that addiction, depression, anxiety, and stress can affect every aspect of your life. It is my hope that, together, we can develop healthier skills to overcome whatever barriers you may be experiencing to physical, mental, and emotional wellness. I use an eclectic treatment approach consisting of evidence-based practices, tailored to your individual needs in order to achieve the quality of life you desire. I have formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). I graduated from St. John Fisher College with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and went on to get my License in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC). I am also a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I have worked in a number of outpatient settings and have specialized in treating adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders since 2010. If you feel that you are ready to make positive changes in your life, I encourage you to take that first step on your journey to healing. Let our work together help transform you into the best version of yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon!

I earned my master's degree in social work from Widener University and my bachelor's degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family, golfing, playing video games, and following my favorite sports teams. Over the past decade, I’ve worked within various healthcare systems, specializing in OCD, anxiety-related conditions, BFRBs, ADHD, and depression. I am certified in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and have received extensive training and consultation through the University of Pennsylvania Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA). I am a member of the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF). I have also received specialized training in Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) Treatment, Habit Reversal Training (HRT), & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have held leadership roles including Director, Manager, and Supervisor of Behavioral Health across multiple healthcare systems. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of workplace stress and burnout, making me especially attuned to the needs of professionals navigating high-demand environments. In addition to my private practice, I work as a Behavioral Health Clinician in the Emergency Room at Main Line Health System, providing psychiatric crisis assessments and support to individuals and families during some of their most vulnerable moments. I also teach CBT to physician residents within the Psychiatry Program, sharing evidence-based strategies to support mental health care in various settings.

Hello! My name is Nicole Wong (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York’s Hudson Valley. I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, overcome anxiety, and relinquish their self-doubt. Your voice deserves to be heard and listened to. I would so appreciate the opportunity to engage in this therapeutic process with you. In my work, I provide trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered therapy to my clients, while integrating an empathic, intersectional, and holistic approach. I earned my Masters of Science degree in Social Work at Columbia University in Advanced Clinical Practice with a focus on Health, Mental Health, and Disabilities. Previously, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and English from Vassar College.

Gen Z and Millennial women are often bombarded with difficult life transitions such as adulting, relationship distress, quarter-life crises, career pursuits, parenting, caregiving, and more. This can be a lot to manage! Societal pressures plus the changing roles of women in this age group require a focused, feminist, and knowledgable approach. It can be tricky searching for the right therapist, so I appreciate you being here in the first place. My approach is fine-tuned, using radical genuineness, to help you learn how to manage these unique stressors while maintaining authenticity and calm. I am practiced in several targeted therapies that meet the needs of women in transition including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). In my personal experience, I have come to view change as the only constant, which is why I find great value in being able to help my clients through significant life transitions. Looking back at the clients I've served over the years, I have been able to find something about every one of them that I admire. I love meeting my clients where they are and seeing how I can support their walk through life in a genuine, non-judgmental, and meaningful way. If this sounds like the right approach for you, feel free to reach out for a phone consult.

Thoughts and emotions can be so powerful, but they can lead us to feeling stuck, lost, confused, dread, or even exhausted. We become so worked up that we might not know how to manage. We tend to isolate, panic, feel unseen, feel unheard, and become irritated because we don’t have the words. Clients will get to meet their present selves by exploring multiple aspects of their lives such as relationships with others and themselves, inner dialogue, communication, anxiety, depression, and more.As a therapist, I aim to create a space where clients have the opportunity to be vulnerable, grow, and feel empowered while working toward their goals and developing new skill sets. I offer a compassionate, creative, and individualized approach that is collaborative and non-judgmental. Together we will develop a deeper understanding of emotions, somatic symptoms, inner dialogue, boundaries, and how we view ourselves in order to improve our quality of life.
