Sometimes in life we find ourselves feeling lost or alone on our journey. We each need to know that someone will be there to help us find our way. My goal is to help you figure out what you want from life and to provide a safe space that will enable you to work towards your goals, whatever they may be. I became a mental health counselor because I believe everyone has the capacity to grow and become more fully the person they were meant to be. My passion is walking that journey with others, being a listening and supportive presence as you strive to do that. I look forward to sharing that journey of discovery with you during our time together. My hours are normally Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm, but I am open to working with you to find a time that works best for you.

As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in work with depression, difficulties relating to trauma and anxiety, and with gender identity and sexuality. My goal is to help you to feel less suffering and to experience a more fulfilling life. A good experience in therapy involves both psychologist and patient. Together, we'll focus on the impacts of low mood, anxiety, low self esteem, or whatever is getting in the way of your life—and how to help you to overcome these obstacles. I have experience working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a variety of concerns, as well as with those who are GNC or queer. In my clinical work, I use evidence-based practices for conditions such as major depressive disorder, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In my academic role at Bard College, I study and teach on the impacts of mood disorders, trauma, and depressive thought. (I do not usually see current Bard College students who may take psychology classes.)

College can be exciting, but it can also bring a lot of stress, pressure, and big transitions. Whether you're struggling with your mental health, navigating friendships or family dynamics, or just trying to figure out who you are and where you're headed, therapy can help. I’m an experienced therapist who works with college students and young adults in a supportive, non-judgmental space. My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness tools, and insight-oriented work to help you build self-awareness, manage stress, improve relationships, and feel more confident in yourself. I also have specialized training in working with trauma and chronic stress, and I help clients make sense of the past so they can feel better in the present and create a meaningful path forward. I've worked with individuals from many different backgrounds, and I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. If you're thinking about therapy—or even if you're not sure—reach out for a free phone consultation. We can talk about what’s going on and see if we’re a good fit.

Each person has a unique experience and healing requires an individualized plan. Healing occurs through a combination of multiple different sources. Therapy can be one tool that can aid in growth that can alleviate suffering. Therapy can be both challenging and rewarding. I believe that a critical component of therapy is a trusting relationship with compassion, feeling heard and seen. Working with someone who you trust to hear your experience and challenge you in positive ways. I am a Yale and VA-trained clinical psychologist , licensed in CT and NY, who has over a decade of experience working with people struggling with addiction. Additionally, I have expertise treating anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, and relationship distress. I approach therapy from a gender-affirming, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive lens. I use an integrative approach that incorporates strategies from humanistic, relational and evidence-based therapies. My style is engaging, compassionate, and nonjudgmental.

Finding a therapist is difficult, it’s scary, and it can be overwhelming – there are so many different providers just on this site! I’m here to help. I’ll work with you to closely examine your past and present experiences to better your future. I promise you that in our sessions, I will bring empathy, honesty, collaboration, and an open mind. So, how do I practice? I’m an integrative therapist – I’m trained in psychodynamic therapy, and I use tools from other treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, when appropriate and to better serve you. Basically, I believe we need to journey together to explore what internal anxieties, traumas or experiences are causing you discomfort, pain, or just a general feeling of being “stuck.” And I’ll also work practically with you in the here and now to provide further insight and relief. Ultimately, the relationship between therapist and client is incredibly important to helping you achieve your goals. I’ll do my best to make you feel safe, seen, and heard. I’m honored that you’re willing to give this a chance, and I invite you to reach out for a free consultation to see if we’re a good match.

I believe we have a natural tendency toward growth, striving to feel more fully ourselves. Sometimes that vitality gets disrupted, leaving you feeling depressed (as though nothing will change) or anxious (afraid things will only get worse). You may sense life could be different, but feel stuck without a clear path to follow. Psychotherapy can help you understand how and why these struggles developed and discover a new path toward feeling better. With over 25 years experience and advanced training, I provide a warm and confidential space where you can explore challenges, gain new perspectives, and take steps toward deeper satisfaction and emotional security.

College is a time of real growth — and real pressure. For many students, it's also when questions about identity, mental health, and how they move through the world come into sharper focus. I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, identity exploration, trauma history, or the particular exhaustion that comes with being neurodivergent in demanding academic environments. Many of the young adults I work with are autistic, ADHD, or both — and are often doing so without the scaffolding that got them through high school. Others are transgender or gender-diverse, and are figuring out who they are while managing minority stress, family dynamics, and systems that don't always make things easy. My approach is relational and collaborative. I don't follow a rigid protocol — I draw from ACT, DBT, and CBT, and I tailor what we do to who you are and what you actually need. Sessions are a place to build insight, develop real skills, and figure out how to live more fully as yourself. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with advanced training in gender-diverse care, trauma, and neurodevelopment. Before opening my practice, I spent two years at Yale's Pediatric Gender Program and completed my doctoral internship at Yale School of Medicine. I keep my caseload focused so I can do this work with the depth it deserves. Sessions are available via telehealth across Connecticut and New York, and in person in Southington, CT — which may be convenient for students at nearby colleges and universities. I also see adolescents and teens, so referrals for younger clients are welcome. I'm happy to connect with counseling center staff to discuss fit, coordination of care, or consultation. The best way to reach me is through my website or by phone.

Hi all - My name is Erica and I've been a practicing clinical social worker since 2013. My approach to therapy is flexible because your needs every session may not look or sound the same every time. I'm ready to meet you where you are at. From students away from home for the first time, to adult-learners, Veterans, to musicians or doctoral-candidates, those of you looking for short-term solutions or long-term collaboration...however you identify I am committed to help. I want you to feel safe, empowered, and connected throughout your entire therapy experience. While life transitions, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal issues are my specialties, let's discuss what your needs are and how I can help. Outside of the therapy world, I enjoy reading, playing Fortnite, golfing, and spending time with my husband, our toddler, and our family and friends.

I am a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist committed to supporting individuals, couples, and families in navigating the complexities of relationships. My initial motivation for pursuing Marriage & Family Therapy was my desire to support and uplift families, particularly in areas where seeking mental health services is still stigmatized. I have experience working with sexual, physical, emotional, racial, and intergenerational trauma as a trauma therapist. I've also had training in Gottman therapy, so I can address your concerns in couples therapy. I am bilingual providing therapy in English as well as Spanish. My practice, which is based on a systems framework, places a strong emphasis on providing a secure and accepting environment where clients can discuss issues, develop relationships, and explore obstacles. I am a strong proponent of collaborative therapy, where clients and I work together to develop objectives and tactics that will lead to positive change. Whether it's dealing with communication problems, handling life changes, or handling interpersonal disputes, my mission is to enable people and families to create happier, healthier relationships. I treat each client's individual background and values with sensitivity and respect in my therapy, having a great appreciation for diversity and cultural nuances.
