I work with college students and other young adults who feel anxious, depressed, and overwhelmed. My clients may have a hard time doing daily tasks and adjusting to stress and changes. They may also have another concern like trauma, OCD, or ADHD.
Are you having trouble adjusting to life transitions? Are you bothered that you aren't good enough? Are you concerned that having emotionally immature parents has caused you to struggle in adulthood? Your experiences with transitions could become overwhelming, causing a lack of focus, a decrease in self-esteem, and second-guessing yourself. Imagine understanding your struggle to make changes or adapt. Imagine understanding the impact of a lack of emotional maturity or intimacy. There is a way to change these patterns in your life. You can overcome the blockage and barriers of change. I primarily use Internal Family Systems and the Change Triangle . These therapies help identify the internal attachment of faulty thoughts and emotions and help to explore ways to "detach" and live your life with purpose. Over time, you can successfully change how you think and feel about yourself and the world. I can help you understand your self-capacities by offering individual, couples, and family therapy focusing on the impact life transitions may have on your present and future inner peace and happiness.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona, North Carolina, and South Carolina (LMFT 10386 Arizona, LMFT 20460 North Carolina, LMFT 8265 South Carolina, LMFT 155822 California). I specialize in working with individuals, young adults, and couples/families. My approach to therapy is collaborative and focused on helping all clients feel safe and comfortable in sessions so that change is more likely to occur. I am passionate about helping others heal so that they can feel fulfilled and aligned in life. I love helping clients feel unstuck and helping them get back in touch with their authentic selves so that they can know their worth. I believe that we are all capable of healing and that we have the ability to heal ourselves with the right resources and supports. I used intuitive approaches when working with clients and our work is tailored to fit your needs. I have advanced training in Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which allows me to understand how clients’ attachment histories have led to insecurities, feeling stuck, low self-esteem, trauma responses, interpersonal conflict, disconnection in relationships and negative narratives. This model allows individuals and families to heal past hurts and get unstuck from repetitive negative patterns. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which is an empirically validated model for trauma therapy, and Brainspotting (BSP) Therapy. These models focus on resolving ongoing trauma symptoms by helping the brain and body process information that is uncomfortable or disturbing so that the information is less painful.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and have worked in counseling focusing on grief for 14 years. In working with grief and loss I have found that this opening provides opportunities to recreate yourself because parts of your world have changed. This experience has helped me grow as a counselor over these years and to understand that we are all here to learn more about ourselves as challenges come into our lives. I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, physical and sexual trauma, job changes, and relationship issues. I have also worked with those who have other challenges such as High Functioning Autism and issues concerning the LGBTQIA community. My approach to counseling comes from Person Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. I also have experience Heart Math for Stress and Anxiety where we use tools to regulate breath and heart rate. This skill can help one to be centered in the chaos and help to focus on your healing process. I also used techniques found in Mindfulness that helps to focus on the present moments versus worries about past or future. I believe in the ability within each individual to overcome the challenges that they face during the course of their lives. There should be a genuine relationship between the therapist and the client. This purpose is the creation of a safe place for the client to grow in their awareness of themselves and their environment. I believe in these theories because they center on the individual and their innate power to overcome their personal challenges. All of these theories and techniques give the client the confidence to realize that they do have the power to create their own reality and make positive choices. It is vital that the client feels a connection with their therapist to provide the trust involved in making the necessary changes in themselves.
Welcome! We help people help themselves to live a more full and whole life, void of medicating and suffering in isolation. We meet our clients where they are and invite them to learn and create what recovery means to them. We do this be holding up a mirror and walking with our clients rather than telling them what they should do. We also help clients connect. Isolation is such a painful symptom of anxiety, depression and medicating. 'Together we can do what we could never do alone' is what we practice at the Relationship Enrichment Center. Reach out, and let us support you.
