I am passionate about helping other people improve their health and have dedicated my nursing career toward continually achieving this goal. I am honored to have been a registered nurse for 17 years, with most of that time spent in a major metropolitan hospital responding to medical emergencies as part of the facility’s Rapid Response Team. After gaining a wealth of experience performing rapid assessments and thus improving the physiological and mental health needs of patients in crisis, it made sense for me to evolve and find a niche that focused solely on psychiatric-mental health nursing. I approach new clients with the belief that they should be encouraged to speak freely, which is a fundamentally important step towards establishing clear goals and objectives. Furthermore, I would like my clients to feel comfortable being an active participant and engaged in improving their mental well-being. The goal of our time together is quite simply to help you start to feel better and improve the quality of your life. I would like you to feel comfortable enough to share the issues that are most challenging and burdensome so that we may work towards addressing them head on. Our initial encounter will include learning your history, how you’ve been feeling, any past successes and/or failures with medications, and then collaborating towards a plan to achieving the goal of feeling better and improving your mental health.

I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and childhood trauma. I have clinical experience across crisis intervention, substance use treatment, and outpatient therapy settings, working with individuals experiencing acute distress as well as ongoing mental health concerns. My approach is grounded in the belief that unresolved trauma can significantly influence emotional regulation, self-concept, and interpersonal functioning. Clients often seek treatment when they feel “stuck,” overwhelmed, or notice persistent patterns related to past experiences that interfere with daily functioning, relationships, or goal attainment. I utilize evidence-based modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Treatment focuses on increasing self-awareness, processing traumatic experiences, addressing maladaptive thought and behavior patterns, and strengthening coping skills. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each client’s clinical needs and treatment goals. I welcome individuals seeking to engage in therapy to address anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and personal growth.

Donati Counseling
Bethany creates a deeply relational, trauma-informed therapy experience. Her approach is both compassionate and direct, combining evidence-based tools with soul-level support. You’ll do more than just talk-you’ll feel, process, and heal in ways that reach beyond the surface. She draws from EMDR to help you safely revisit and reprocess trauma, somatic tools to regulate your nervous system, and parts work (IFS-informed) to explore the complex and beautiful layers of your internal world. Bethany also uses attachment-based language to build emotional safety and connection, and DBT-informed strategies to hold space for life’s inevitable nuance and emotional intensity. Therapy with Bethany is a place where radical self-honesty meets deep self-compassion. You’ll explore the fears that have kept you playing small, challenge the boundaries and beliefs that no longer serve you, and start moving toward the life you actually want to live-not the one you’ve been conditioned to settle for. And while the work runs deep, it doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. Bethany brings a grounded, human energy to her sessions-one that makes room for laughter, realness, and even joy. She believes in healing that’s holistic and sustainable-where change starts from within and ripples outward into every part of your life. If you’re done with surface-level fixes and ready to do the kind of work that actually shifts you at your core, Bethany is your person. She’ll meet you where you are, walk alongside you through the hard stuff, and help you remember your worth, one honest step at a time.
