Inevitably, life presents difficulties, and can be challenging for many different reasons. Sometimes the things that bring people to therapy are very specific: perhaps a major life transition has become overwhelming, or certain patterns within a relationship are starting to take a toll. Pressures in some particular setting, whether it is at school, at work, or at home, may be feeling too difficult to navigate alone. Other times, people come to therapy a little less certain, feeling confused and unsure about where their life is headed, wanting something more. It’s not always easy to answer the question, “What brings you here?” People tend to doubt their inner strengths, and don’t quite realize how many resources they in fact possess. I have found that, though conversation with a trusted person, people can more easily identify and then build on those strengths. In my work with children, we often talk about expanding their “toolbox,” so that they have the skills to better manage overwhelming emotions and navigate complicated social situations. With teenagers and young adults, we often find ourselves talking about questions of identity development - the process of learning about who we are, how we got there, and what we want for ourselves moving forward. I see growth and development as a lifetime process, and, in my work with adults, we address all these issues in increasingly varied and complex ways, while also working together to navigate complex challenges presented by a world that can be arbitrary and unfair. My past experiences, doing individual and family therapy with people of all ages, of diverse backgrounds, and difficult, sometimes traumatic histories and life circumstances, have engendered within me a core belief that with the right support and collaboration, it is possible to make meaningful and long-lasting changes.

What I love most about my work is walking alongside people as they navigate life’s most difficult moments — grief, major life transitions, caregiving, serious illness, or the stress and uncertainty that comes with change. Life transitions can reshape how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and our future. Big changes — divorce, moving, career shifts, chronic illness, or the death of someone you love — can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy is not about “moving on” or “getting over” your grief or stress. It’s about learning how to carry life’s challenges while honoring your story. I specialize in relational therapy that helps individuals, parents, and families make sense of the grief, stress, and anxiety that often comes with life transitions, while building on your inherent strengths to achieve your goals. I use principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build practical skills for coping and managing difficult emotions. I strive to be an authentic, warm, and honest therapist that brings empathy, understanding, and a little lightness to healing. Please feel welcome to reach out for an initial phone consultation - I would love to see if we’re a good fit.

I specialize in therapy for young and emerging adult women with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and OCD to help them find balance and gain new perspectives on how they see the world and themselves. I challenge Perfectionists, Overthinkers, and People Pleasers to step out of their black-and-white thinking. In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns that have protected you in the past, dive deeper into your experiences, and notice the stories that your mind is telling you. We’ll work with both your mind and body, helping you tune into how your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are connected. As an integrative therapist, I blend evidence-based practices with a human, relational approach—drawing from different modalities to meet you where you are and what you need most. My goal is to provide a balanced, trauma-informed, and holistic approach that addresses the whole person—mind, body, and emotions. If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, build healthier boundaries, strengthen your self-trust, and create more space for flexibility and self-compassion, feel free to reach out or schedule a free consultation through my website—I’d be honored to support you!

To acknowledge that you are experiencing something that may benefit from professional support is a powerful first step. You may be noticing changes in your mood, behaviors, or personality as a result of the stressors you currently face or have faced. With my collaboration and support, you can develop the skills you need to cope with life's stressors and ultimately achieve lasting psychological growth. For individuals, I specialize in the management and symptom reduction of depressive and anxiety disorders, as well as effective navigation of life transitions, relationship issues and identity formation (i.e. values identification, development of self-esteem, purpose finding/meaning making). I engage clients through a collaborative, integrative approach to foster learning of necessary skills and development of greater insight. Please note my fee for individual therapy is $200/session. For couples, I specialize in the pursuit of client-identified goals through effective communication, conflict resolution, and applicable skill building. I help people alleviate uncomfortable feelings, gain insight, and increase coping skills to overcome stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and life transitions (such as relocation, school, career transitions). Part of being human means that you will struggle at some point with unproductive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, or unexpectedly have to manage something life throws your way. People I work with are motivated to develop skills to increase their self-confidence, communication, decision making and boundary setting skills. As well as optimize their emotional health/ well-being and are seeking tools to assist them in the process. I take an active and collaborative approach to help create tangible strategies to deal more effectively in the moment with difficult experiences and feelings. In addition to helping people alleviate current pain points, I assist in obtaining skills to develop a wellness practice that will be beneficial beyond sessions. My approach is person-centered and informed by evidence-based practices, including Lifestyle Medicine (nutrition, physical activity, sleep hygiene, and stress management), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Practice and Solution Focused Therapy. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling empowered and in control of their life.

As we grow and develop life throws at us a series of experiences and challenges. We learn to navigate our environment and relationships through these experiences. As a therapist I have the utmost respect for the ways in which people have approached their lives. It is not my goal to tell someone how to live. My role is to provide a relationship and a dedicated time to think openly about your experience. Sometimes we lose sight of the meaning and spend time trying to convince ourselves of something that may no longer fit. Through empathy and playfulness, I hope to create a space in which people feel safe to explore new ways of being and thinking. I am interested in both what you say and how you say it: the lyrics and the music. We will work together to find new ways of making meaning out of what life offers. In our first meeting I will be very curious to learn about your life and the challenges you are experiencing. We will discuss how you approach your life and identify ways in which you may struggle and succeed in facing difficulties. I will share feedback with you towards the end of the session and spend time planning future steps. I have worked in college and university mental health centers for over 10 years and look forward to continuing my work with students in my private practice.

You are NOT alone! Navigating college is hard alone. Trying to do it during a pandemic has been just brutal! I have been working in a college counseling center for the past 14 years, and continue to do so. I recognize that not all students have access to services at their college and hope that I might be able to support those students by filling in the gap. With more than 20 years of working with adolescents, young adults, and adults, I am here to support those ready to take the next steps in prioritizing their mental health. With kindness, compassion, humor and focus, my goal is to provide guidance, perspective and insight in focusing on achievable steps to identify and strengthen your own skills to help you navigate any of the challenges or goals you are ready to tackle. The same way in which we will turn to others for information and encouragement when addressing physical pain or recovery from injury, my goal is to provide an environment that is holistic, collaborative and forward focused to help you achieve the healthy balance, life, relationships, etc. that you deserve! Teletherapy helps you achieve noteworthy milestones and saves time, money, and energy over traditional in-person therapy. When you are ready, let's unpack, explore and understand where you have been, where you are and where you want to get to!

Hi! I am licensed psychologist specializing in college students and young adults. My clinical work focuses on anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotion regulation, perfectionism, and life transitions. I work with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their goals, helping them develop the skills and insight needed to create meaningful, lasting change. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, individualized, and active. Together with my clients, I explore the patterns that contribute to distress while building practical, evidence-based strategies that foster greater psychological flexibility and drive values-based actions.
