When we feel stuck, taking steps forward can feel like a monumental task. We can work together to break down your thoughts and uncertainties, determine the best way forward, and put practical strategies into action, to empower you to create the life you want for yourself. In me, you’ll have a collaborator who will follow your lead and ensure you feel you heard but will be willing to challenge you and continue to motivate you towards achieving your goals. Therapy with me involves weaving together practical skill-building and evidence-based strategies to help you achieve your individualized goals. I work with individuals experiencing difficult life transitions at work, at home, or at school. Through individual, parent, or family sessions, we will untangle your thoughts, improve your self-esteem, and take tangible steps towards sustainable change. Dr. Veillette works with adults of all ages and backgrounds, including individuals with chronic health conditions, people seeking a more peaceful relationship with food, movement, and body, and those navigating the challenges associated with emotional eating concerns, anxiety, or depression. Her clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client‑oriented. She is trained in a wide range of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Intuitive Eating, and CBT protocols targeting nightmares, insomnia, chronic pain, and binge eating. She is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.
Many people I work with describe their struggles with self-doubt, persistent worries, irrational fears, and "overthinking" tendencies, saying that they second-guess themselves and struggle to quiet their anxious thoughts. Often, these struggles are a result of past traumatic events that have shaped how the brain perceives the world. Other times, these struggles may trace back to unhelpful messaging from outside sources, which can result in learned behaviors, patterns, and ways of thinking that promote anxiety, worry, and shame. I use modalities such as EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, and CBT to support clients with these struggles. Therapy can support us to uncover and understand the impacts that traumas and other past events have on how we navigate the world. This awareness, coupled with therapeutic interventions, can support us to heal from past hardships and make changes to the learned survival techniques that are no longer serving us. Those who work with me describe me as compassionate, accepting, and interactive in my approach, and I strive to create a comfortable and judgment-free environment for my clients. I offer online scheduling, specialized, evidence-based approaches, and brief, no-cost phone consultations. I encourage you to reach out to see if working together may be a good fit!
Therapy can be beneficial and instrumental if you are looking for change in your life. We all have the ability to make positive changes to improve our lives. With years of experience working with adolescents, and adults, I am available to support you with daily struggles and achieving life goals. Specializing in issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and acculturation, I have much experience working in the school system and have a strong background in crisis intervention. I also speak Portuguese fluently. Young adults often express finding it easy to connect with me, and say that "she gets me." My practice is solution focused and tailored to each individual. I want you to leave feeling like you've gained something from our meeting. Clients appreciate my emphatic, enthusiastic, and direct nature. I am able to provide a combination of support and challenge in order to make change happen. I look forward to hearing from you!
As a therapist, I partner with you to make sense of your story. Through this work, we often discover together that what’s happening for you in the present makes perfect sense given what you’ve lived through so far and the forces that have shaped you. With this understanding, you can more easily access softness toward yourself and others, and even find other ways of being. I primarily practice from relational psychodynamic and trauma perspectives, drawing from neurodevelopmental, family systems, and body-based frames as appropriate. As a social worker, I am attuned to the ways that systems of power and oppression contribute to experiences of mental health.

I strive to create trust in self by sharing tools and using strengths you already have to develop a healthier relationship with self which will translate to better relationships in all aspects of life. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am thrilled that you are taking a step towards better understanding yourself and showing up as your authentic self. I offer virtual and in office therapy specializing in life transitions, anxiety, and self-esteem. I believe that one of the most healing things that you can do for yourself and for the world is to show up as your authentic self. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker who practices in Massachusetts. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and strength-based approach in my work. Having grown up in a Black and Caribbean household, I understand the stigma around mental health. That’s why I am here to remind you: it is okay to not be okay. I will help guide you through life stressors, life transitions, self-esteem, depression and anxiety. Therapy is a lifelong journey and you are the expert of your life. I’m just here to walk with you and support you along the way.
My work in counseling psychology emerged from being an artist. While earning my BFA at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, I was invited into my colleagues’ lives and learned to share their experiences through their lenses and perceptions. Graduate training at NYU sharpened this insight to bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process. I provide feedback and reflection—infused with a dose of humor—in a warm, safe, and trusting atmosphere. My approach is both interactive and direct. I ask my clients to challenge themselves to be completely open and honest and share in a way that might feel like they’re ‘telling on themselves.’ Significant change and healing can only really begin with the whole truth. Believing strongly that the integration between mind and body leads to greater mental health, I encourage clients to incorporate physical activity and other treatment modalities: yoga, art, working out, running, massage, pets, acupuncture, meditation, medication, vacation, etc.
Whether you're working through past traumas, seeking clarity amidst life's transitions, or desiring deeper connections, you deserve a therapeutic experience that genuinely resonates with you. As your therapist, my goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where we can collaborate to improve your mental well-being, enrich your relationships, and uncover greater purpose and joy in your life. I specialize in working with young adults and individuals navigating transitions through client-centered and solution-focused methods. My practice integrates DBT and art therapy, offering a blend of talk and creative therapies. This flexible approach allows us to tailor sessions to your individual needs, fostering a supportive environment to address your unique challenges.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker operating remotely in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Massachusetts. I specialize in personalized therapy for individuals who are navigating the tumultuous waters of anxiety, depression, diminished self-worth, strained relationships, and significant life changes. Are you feeling overwhelmed by the pain of past experiences or daunting emotions? Are they negatively impacting your relationships and professional life? Are you starting college and feeling overwhelmed and having difficulty adjusting to college life? We will work together to change that narrative.
I collaborate with adults as they heal from trauma, anxiety, loss, depression, other mood issues, or any number of matters leaving them feeling somehow ineffective. As a clinician for over nineteen years, I will join with you to identify and transform painful obstacles, arising from past and/or present challenges, which hinder you from making healthy changes. Drawing especially from Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we will journey together to access your core nature, the Self, more spontaneously. This leads to clarity and calm over internal and external challenges you face, resulting in heightened creativity and effectiveness with problem solving, relationship building, and goal attainment. I believe you possess all necessary strengths and pathways to answers for improving your life, but may be having difficulty accessing them at present. I welcome individuals who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual, including those questioning or seeking help adjusting to leading more open, fulfilled lives with however they identify themselves. The IFS model utilizes a non-pathologizing, mind-body focus. Drawing from the natural strengths existing within each of us, IFS and EMDR guide a person into taking the lead in one's own healing process, no matter how traumatic a background one may have lived through. On 5/4/14, I completed the Level 2 IFS training. On 3/12/17, I completed the basic EMDR training. I accept these insurances: BCBS and Medicare.
