I enjoy working with students who need support in adjusting to all the changes that school inherently comes with leaving home, performance anxiety, finding your people, dating, friends, study habits, getting ready to graduate and finding your next move etc. And through all of this, sometimes there is anxiety, depression, or trauma that makes all of the adjustments more difficult. Therapy can help you sort through all of that so that you have a clear mind and feel more at ease in life. Reach out to me today to schedule a free 15 minute consult to see if we are a match, it's important that you feel a connection with your therapist. Everyone needs validation and support from time to time! Deciding to seek counseling can be scary but it is an important step that can be very empowering and fulfilling! For over 20 years I have worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings to explore and teach safe, effective ways to manage and express overwhelming emotions. Whether you are experiencing significant sadness, anxiety, changes in energy level, concerns about school or work, or just trying to sort out challenging life issues, I would love the opportunity to help you.
Mara Penatzer
It's important to me to be someone my clients can trust to be nonjudgemental, validating, and interested in understanding them better. I hope to support clients in exploring their values and relationships; increasing feelings of self-esteem and self-efficacy; building skills to cope with distress and pain; and recovering from experiences of trauma and invalidation. I particularly enjoy working with clients who identify as highly sensitive or who experience emotional intensity.

Emma Guzman, LMHC
Hi, I'm Emma Guzman, LMHC. I'm a licensed mental health counselor and relational trauma researcher with four years of clinical experience. I love helping young adults navigate life's changes, heal from past experiences, and create a more meaningful, genuine life. My approach is rooted in neuroscience, trauma awareness, and a client-centered, collaborative style. I see therapy not as fixing you but as providing a warm, supportive space where you can understand yourself better, explore new options, and connect more deeply with the life you want. I have experience working with adults (18-50) facing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, life changes, identity questions, and chronic stress. I am also a certified provider of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), which I incorporate into therapy when it feels right. My style is warm, compassionate, and honest. I aim to gently challenge you, even if it feels a little uncomfortable, while respecting your limits and readiness. I want you to feel free to be exactly who you are—without judgment—and to feel supported as you grow and explore.
Heather Cannon
My clients are motivated towards long term change. Many are seeking relief from painful experiences. Most recognize a need to regain control. And, almost all do not know how to achieve on their own what they are acknowledging they need. They are tired of going through the motions of life and wish to experience it fully, again. Some come with deep hurt from various relationships that they need support in resolving. And all simply want to live authentically. My goal is to provide the type of therapeutic environment that clients feel safe to be vulnerable and present with their feelings. I offer a strength based, person centered approach, rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, or Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Choosing a therapist is not easy and the task can feel overwhelming at a time in your life that is already stressful. Therefore, I invite you to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation with me. This will afford an opportunity to hear my voice and briefly discuss your reason for therapy.

Do you feel like you’re juggling everything — trying to be the strong one — while quietly running on empty? On the outside, it looks like you’ve got it together, but inside, you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and wondering why it’s so hard to just feel okay. Maybe you say yes when you want to say no or carry old wounds that still affect your life. You’re ready for change — to feel more grounded, present, and connected. I specialize in helping self-aware women break free from perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the heavy emotional load they’ve been carrying for way too long. Together, we’ll get curious about what’s underneath the surface. I use EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches to help you process what’s been holding you back — whether it’s anxiety, past trauma, or patterns you’re just tired of repeating. Therapy with me is about creating a space where you can finally exhale, be fully seen, and start building a life that feels true to who you are. If any of this resonates, I’d love to talk. Reach out for a free 15-minute consult to see if we’re a good fit.
