I am a licensed mental health therapist that serves Massachusetts. With extensive experience across residential, assisted living, correctional, outpatient, and other mental health care settings, she brings a holistic understanding of client needs to her practice. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, and Interpersonal approaches in my work with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress management, and LGBTQIA+-related concerns. I am deeply passionate about healing Black and Brown communities and is committed to providing therapy for clients who share similar lived experiences. I believe that healing is more powerful when clients feel seen, understood, and heard by someone who relates to their perspective. I shows up authentically in every session, meeting clients where they are and creating a safe, affirming space for growth and change.
The secret to being happy resides in the unconscious conversations we have with ourselves. We teach you how to discover the internal conversations and consciously create your happiness.
Dr. Wendy Cohen is a Board-certified, Harvard-trained psychiatrist who has completed fellowships in psychodynamic psychotherapy and sees adult patients for combined psychotherapy and medication management. Her specialties include women’s health, college mental health, depression, anxiety, and panic.
I'm fluent in Mandarin and English, I have worked with many international students who struggle with cultural adjustment, immigration status, interpersonal relationship and other challenges in college life. I was an international student and I knew how challenging it could be to study abroad. I would like to be a good listener and care for students' mental health. In terms of my approaches, I help students use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to view their life in a more comprehensive way by analyzing their automatic thoughts. I also guide them to be aware of body sensation and be able to calm through mindfulness practice (a technique from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
Are you a diamond in the rough? I provide social psychologically informed therapy that looks concentratedly at each client's various emotions in context, how and why emotions arise in relationships and what they have to tell us. I help clients look at their complex feelings related to self, break ups, loss of connection, and unresolved grief or anger, and their positive feelings. I try to help clients persist at these times to discover unrealized strengths, better connections. I work with a sense of humor, realism and practicality. I hope my clients can feel secure and increasingly present, and make smarter, more conscious choices. I am a Licensed Psychologist. My education consists of a B.A. from Brown University, an M.L.A. in Social Psychology from Harvard University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
I'm a collaborative therapist offering a safe space for reflection, growth, and meaningful change through curiosity and care. I work well with students who are navigating anxiety, transitions, or feeling stuck, and who want to better understand themselves while building sustainable change. My style is warm, reflective, and supportive, with gentle challenge when helpful, always paced to individual needs.

I’m happy you’ve taken that first step and found your way here. I understand it’s not easy to seek out support. Therapy is unique to each person, but some themes I have noticed people are seeking out are an understanding of their emotions, an improved ability to cope and function and feeling more empowered about their individual situations. I also specialize in and offer years of expertise supporting individuals around issues related to parenting, identity development, LBGTQIA+ identities and life transitions. The space I provide is welcoming, gentle and warm. My approach is person-centered and eclectic at its core. I am thoughtful and attentive in finding ways to make therapy accessible and meaningful. I primarily use talk therapy and am skilled at incorporating creativity, coping skills and mindfulness into my work to make therapy individualized to your needs. My hope for you is that you realize your own strength and ability to be the driving force in determining what success means to you in therapy. I believe in your ability to be your own expert and to find your own strength and awareness to promote your personal growth and healing. I’m here to support you and meet you where you are on life’s journey.
