I specialize in providing individual therapy to adults experiencing OCD and/or eating disorders. I can also provide support for other mental health issues, including: depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, trauma, mood disorders, and substance misuse. I also help clients navigate life's common problems, including relationship issues, work stress, identity development, and grief. I periodically offer support groups for OCD and eating disorders. I will be seeing clients in person in Pittsburgh starting in August 2023. I can see clients in Massachusetts via telehealth but I am not accepting any telehealth clients at this time.
Life has many challenges. It's how you grow from your past that defines who you are in life. You may feel alone, misunderstood, and unfulfilled with your life or personal relationships. Perhaps you're having intense negative emotions. People typically enter therapy when they are in distress, although it's usually the long-term and underlying struggles that concern them the most. Initially, we will work quickly to address your immediate pain and provide relief. As therapy progresses, our focus may shift so you develop more positive and enriching relationships with yourself and others. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate environment where you can recognize your potential and live a meaningful life. I use evidenced-based therapy that focuses on the dynamics that impact your daily experience. We look for the behaviors, attitudes, and patterns that protected you in the past but no longer serve a purpose.
AS OF APRIL 2021, I am only providing telehealth sessions and have Extremely Limited availability. I have been treating children, adolescents and adults since 2005. I have been in private practice since 2014. I have treated many college students of a variety of ages, for a variety of reasons. My approach is a mixture of coaching, collaborating and utilizing clinical skills that include but are not limited to CBT, trauma therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution focused, client centered, strength based, positive psychology. I am also trained in exposure therapy to treat PTSD, phobias and social anxiety disorder, when appropriate. My approach is to work with the client, where they are at emotionally-psychologically, and help them move toward the goals they identify as meaningful.

Dialectical and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, LLC is a solo private practice and the primary treatment provided is DBT. I provides in-person sessions on Mondays in Marlborough and virtual sessions Tuesday -Thursday. A popular and cost effective offering is the DBT Skills Training Class/Group for young adults, 18-29 y/o. It is Wednesdays 6-8p and each series runs for 8-10 sessions depending on topic.
