Many of the students I work with feel like they've hit a wall. They know something needs to change, but they're not sure where to start. Maybe anxiety is making it hard to focus, depression has drained their motivation, or life simply isn't turning out the way they expected. They often come to therapy looking for more than just a place to vent. They want practical support, a fresh perspective, and a path forward. Through WellQor, I provide online therapy for college students and young adults, and WellQor accepts most major insurance plans to help make care more accessible. I enjoy working with people who are ready to make changes but need help identifying what's getting in the way and how to move past it. In our work together, we'll focus on understanding your challenges while also building real-world strategies you can use outside of session. I believe growth happens through a combination of support, honesty, and action. Therapy doesn't require you to have everything figured out before you start. Sometimes it simply begins with being willing to take the next step. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about what comes next, therapy can be a place to regroup, build confidence, and start creating a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who you want to become.

Life can sometimes seem like just too much. Stressors like relationships, friendships, school, work, and family obligations can become too heavy to bear. Maybe there is a trauma you have carried for years that you still aren't quite sure how to handle. Maybe you are questioning aspects of your identity and you aren't sure where to turn to speak honestly about them. Or, maybe you just need someone to talk to who can help you process your daily life. That's where counseling can come in. I offer a welcoming, judgment-free space for you to bring all of who you are to the table! Together, we will discuss your struggles and strengths, and come up with new and effective ways to cope with the stressors you may be facing. I aim to be culturally competent and sensitive, and strive to offer a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds. Counseling offers a space for you to be your most honest self without fear of judgment. If you are ready to make a change in your life for the better, or if you are just curious about what counseling is like, please reach out to me to schedule an appointment or brief consultation. I look forward to hearing from you; be well!

My clinical practice is grounded in an emotion-focused framework that emphasizes collaboration, autonomy, empathy, relationship-building, and cultural humility. I view the therapeutic relationship as dynamic and relational. We grow and change together in the process. Authenticity is central to my work. I approach therapy as a whole person. I carry my identities, personality, and lived experiences with me. I believe that, when I show up fully, it creates space for you to do the same. My goal is to offer you an emotionally safe environment where you can show up with all parts of yourself - your identities, feelings, stories, strengths, and struggles - without fear of judgment. I want you to feel deeply seen, heard, and valued for the whole person that you are. My approach is trauma-centered and am queer, CNM, and polyamory affirming. I am a World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) certified provider.

College is often one of the most exciting and overwhelming times of life Many of the students I work with are navigating major transitions while trying to keep up with classes, relationships, work, family expectations, and the pressure to have it all figured out. Sometimes the challenges are obvious: Academic stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, breakups, family conflict, grief, or adjusting to college life. Sometimes they're more personal: Questioning your identity, sexuality, faith, values, or future career path. Feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure of who you're becoming. Managing ADHD, autism, perfectionism, burnout, or people-pleasing. Trying to balance independence while still navigating family expectations. Feeling overwhelmed by the constant pressure to perform, achieve, and keep going. And sometimes it's simply realizing that the strategies that helped you get this far aren't working anymore. I believe you don't need fixing to deserve support. I think of myself as a life midwife: steady, grounded, and honest while something new is trying to emerge. My role isn't to tell you who to be or how to live your life. It's to help you make sense of where you are, reconnect with your strengths, and navigate the uncertainty that often comes with growth and change. If any of this resonates with you, you may be in a season of becoming. And you don't have to move through it alone.

I offer what I like to think of as a traditional talk therapy, where one is encouraged to talk about whatever you want for as long as you want. My experience is that many people find this process grounding, and there’s enormous evidence for the effectiveness of counseling generally. It seems like one gets the sense of what is happening and what to do about it. Even when things are going well, there’s appreciation. Insight is also a natural result of doing this. I get to understand who I’m talking with better the more I listen, and one usually gets a better sense of themselves the more they they hear themselves talk.

The process of starting or reentering counseling can be overwhelming but a brave step towards improving your wellness. I honor that step by committing myself to meet you where you are, sit with you in whatever emotion arises, and offer you a safe and relaxed environment to discuss your concerns. As your therapist, I will work with you to collaboratively create a road map to greater health using our alliance and therapeutic tools along the way. We will work together to identify your goals, beliefs, and assets; process life stress; and empower your life for greater wellness, however you define this. I offer Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness, Exposure (ERP), Strength-Based and Person-Centered services for adults and young adults, addressing symptoms of anxiety, OCD, stress, life transitions, relationships, and ADHD. Through my Masters and Doctoral work as well as my background teaching and supervising Master's level clinicians, I have created a therapeutic approach that is not only centered around YOU, the client, but incorporates practices that are backed by scientific evidence. It is my greatest desire to use what I know to see you grow and live the life you want.

We queer folks navigate the world differently from cis-het individuals, which comes with both unique challenges and profound beauty. While I work with people of all identities, including heterosexual and cisgender clients, my specialty lies in supporting queer, trans, and gender-diverse individuals (LGBTQIA+ folks). I'm dedicated to creating a safe, affirming, and empowering space, where you can gain insight, get in touch with your emotions, and connect with your authentic self, free from fear or judgment. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and insight-oriented. We’ll work together to deepen your connection with yourself and others. You'll gain deeper insight into the patterns shaping your life, exploring how they developed and if you'd like to shift them to better serve you. I'll meet you where you're at, as we explore what it means for you to live more fully and on your own terms. I also understand that life can be challenging, and society often encourages us to suppress painful emotions. When we bury these feelings, they can manifest in ways that cause more harm— whether by straining relationships, fueling irritability, or even leading to physical issues. In our work together, I’ll support you in bringing these emotions to the surface, giving them the space they need to be explored and processed for healing. Through it all, I’ll be by your side, offering warmth, understanding, and steady support as we navigate the path toward healing and growth together. I’m part of the clinical team at the Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy, where we’re committed to offering anti-oppressive, inclusive, and culturally-affirming care. Shoot me an email or text, and let's jump on a free phone consultation to see if we're a good fit! I'm looking forward to connecting with you. I am currently working under the direction of Dr. Sophia Aguirre and under the supervision of Carrie Gensler LPC, CPCS in pursuit of licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. I like to see this as you having multiple therapists, collaborating, to help you best meet your goals!

You ever wondered if there was a therapist out there who truly gets you? Who could relate and understand your experiences being different than the normative society? Well look no further! I work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and relational struggles. I have a special passion for supporting geeks, gamers, creatives, alternative individuals, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ clients who often feel like they don’t quite fit the mold. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with elements of geek therapy. My clients often come to me struggling with perfectionism, boundary setting, self-esteem, identity, or body image issues, feeling stuck or overwhelmed in a world that doesn’t always make space for who they are. In our work together, we’ll create that space—judgment-free, collaborative, and affirming. Whether you’re battling your inner critic, processing trauma, or just trying to survive in a neurotypical or cis-normative world, I’m here to support your growth, healing, and self-discovery. Therapy doesn’t have to be sterile or detached—we can bring your fandoms, creativity, and passions into the room as tools for healing.
