You’ve spent so much time being who everyone needed you to be and have drifted away from who YOU need to be for YOU. On the outside everything looks fine… you’re the “strong” one, you’re handling “business”, and you show up for everyone. BUT On the inside you may wish you had a “you”, are experiencing guilt/shame that you’re not where you are supposed to be in life, or maybe you are feeling overwhelmed from overthinking every detail. Life be life-ing, and sometimes we need someone to help us navigate, or a place to simply, just be. At my practice, Bloom House Therapy and Wellness, I love guiding teen girls and women to see life from a new angle. I am a firm believer in the fact we teach people how to treat us, and I'm here to walk alongside you as you rediscover self-care and figure out how you want to treat yourself. Together, we'll silence that inner critic and build relationships that nourish your soul, empowering you to reach your full potential. My therapy style is authentic and down to earth, innovative, and empowering. I get it sis, I know first hand the ups and downs of navigating life’s transitions, I will meet you where you are, and together we will navigate the road to you living your BEST authentic life. Do you feel misunderstood and stuck in your head? Do you feel a desire for change but are lacking direction? Maybe you feel stuck in a relationship, a job, or a state of mind that has left you feeling unsatisfied, anxious, or depressed. As a clinician, I believe that my role is to create a completely non-judgmental space for you to process and grow. The more we can be vulnerable in expressing our true (and sometimes messy) selves, the closer we get to living fully, authentically, and with a sense of ease. I approach every session with an open mind, and a deep sense of compassion for your unique story. I am transparent, collaborative, and am a valuable resource for you on your path towards meaningful change, peace of mind, and personal empowerment. I work with clients ages 18+ who are experiencing ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, substance misuse, are having existential questions or are stuck in building their identity; who are in the middle of a stressful life transition, are having family issues, issues in work and/or school, difficulty with self-esteem or social skills, grief, or loss of a relationship.

I strongly believe that a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental environment is a place that fosters acceptance and growth. You may find yourself faced with life challenges that feel almost impossible to handle, and the need to have your thoughts and concerns heard and validated. I will walk with you on your journey to self-discovery and self-compassion, as well as provide you with the opportunity to find and apply your strengths to your daily life. We will work to identify and challenge any barriers to growth that may be holding you back from effectively navigating and tolerating the uncomfortable emotions and challenging situations that can arise unexpectedly. I use an eclectic approach to counseling tailored to my client and their needs. I believe that building trust between the client and counselor is of the utmost importance in a therapeutic relationship. I have experience working with a variety of clients with varying mental health needs such as eating disorders, body image concerns, depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, grief/loss, substance use/abuse, and trauma. I graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College with BS in Clinical Psychology in 2017 and from Mercer University with an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. I also completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Ebb and Flow Yoga, Spa, & Float in 2017. I have experience working with adolescent, young adult, and adult women in the field of eating disorders, mood disorders, depression, and anxiety. I also like to incorporate my yoga teachings into my counseling where appropriate. I am a mother, spouse, avid reader, counselor, yogi, and friend. But most importantly I am human and I understand how difficult being human can be sometimes. Therefore, I will seek to hear and understand your world and struggles you face in that world. I believe I can help by offering a compassionate ear, coping skills, and a safe place to process emotions. If you are hurting, or just need help coping in general, please do not hesitate to reach out. I would love the opportunity to see if I am a good fit for you! ****VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS ONLY AT THIS TIME****

Odona Whiddon, Counselor & Coach
Stress in college can be difficult to manage at times because of the change in responsibilities of being away from home, less structure to routines, worrying about grades, worrying about finances, all while trying to establish new connections and build relationships in a new place. These stressors often lead to anxiety and depression. The good news is that you don’t have to manage alone! We can work together to help you learn the tools you need to maximize your strengths, and be at peace, while thriving in a busy college environment.
Katie Colton (Sol Health)
Hi! My name is Katie (she/her), and I’m excited to work together. My goal is to help you feel safe, comfortable, and free to open up at your own pace. I believe our experiences—past and present—shape the way we think, feel, and move through life. By exploring and validating your thoughts and emotions, we can start to untangle patterns, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and work toward healing. I’m here to support you whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, grief, body dysmorphia, sexual and gender identity issues, relationship/work stress, and/or chronic illness. Finding the right words to express what you’re feeling isn’t always easy, and that’s okay. Sessions are tailored to what feels right for you. We’ll draw from psychodynamic, somatic, creative arts, and other trauma-informed approaches. Empathy, warmth, and humor are central to my practice, creating a space where you can explore and grow. Currently, I’m an MSW student at Yeshiva University in New York City and hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I look forward to meeting you! -- Katie Colton is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health.
