Are you feeling anxious, wired, or overwhelmed? I help individuals find relief from anxiety, depression, loss, work or college stress, burnout, and past trauma. As someone with a multicultural background and being a second generation immigrant, I can understand the many layers of identity that influence our mental health. You can expect a compassionate and warm approach, allowing for self-exploration and growth. I use a blend of approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you manage stress, find balance, and cultivate healthier relationships. In our sessions, we will learn about regulating your nervous system, explore new perspectives through reframing, build self-compassion and uncover your innate strengths. Whether you're struggling with change, perfectionism, anxiety, or navigating relationships, my goal is to guide you toward emotional regulation, self-compassion, and fulfilling connections. I know that finding a good fit for a therapist can be tricky, and I’m here to make that process as easy as possible. I invite you to bring your authentic self to our sessions. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to be part of your mental health journey!

I work with children, teen, and adult clients on a variety of challenges, including behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. As a young professional, I believe myself to be uniquely able to connect with the needs and culture of today's teens and young adults. I also consider myself an ally to all racial groups as well as the queer community. As a therapist with a commitment to lifelong learning, I know it is my responsibility to approach issues of diversity with humility, empathy, and openness. My primary therapeutic approaches are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies. CBT involves examining the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and finding ways to disrupt patterns in our lives that bring us distress. Exploring the mind-body connection is also helpful for alleviating symptoms of anxiety and stress. We all exist at the unique intersection of our many different identities, experiences, and traits. No two people will experience the world in exactly the same way. If you're searching for a therapist who knows that you are the expert of your own experience and wants to help you identify and reach your goals, reach out today to see if we might be a good fit.

I am a trauma-informed clinician who incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic principles and person-centered therapy into my work with clients. I provide therapy to young adults who are coping with the stressors of college. I routinely help people who are coping with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and impulse control problems. In addition to my general practice, I specialize in helping people who have a history of sexual abuse and/or sexual acting out. I also conduct psychological evaluations that can assist with understanding the root of the problem and can clarify a person's diagnosis, which can help with determining what type of treatment and/or medication may be needed. There are many other therapists in my group private practice that offer additional therapy services such as substance abuse treatment, trauma treatment (including EMDR), treatment for ADHD, treatment that addresses gender identity concerns, etc. The cost of therapy depends on which therapist you see (master's level versus doctoral level). In addition to the insurances listed below, I am also on Wellcare and CareSource.

It is said that we rise by lifting others. This rings true as it describes why most of us in the field do the work. We want you to rise and have the self-efficacy to lift yourself. I do not believe in a one-size-fit-all approach for my clients, as I work to find the best therapeutic support for each person. I have an open-door policy and encourage you to take the lead in your own healing and path forward. I include Person-centered, CBT, Expressive therapies, Trauma-informed techniques and Humanistic therapies to treat clients. I believe the therapuetic rapport is an essential building block to any counseling relationship. I work to ensure that you feel safe and willing to explore in every session.

Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with and trust can be very challenging. Painful life experiences, past trauma and current situations can cause you to feel stuck, depressed and anxious. You may have noticed changes in your relationships, work, mood or self-esteem. Feeling understood and supported is of highest importance when navigating through life challenges. As such, I am dedicated to protecting your trust and providing you with emotional safety as you undertake the vulnerable yet enriching journey of therapy. I focus on developing a deep understanding of your unique experience within a space of openness and non-judgment. In addition to improving and alleviating your specific symptoms, I seek to empower you through increased awareness and choice, alignment with core values and life-meaning, & better coping skills. An interesting note about me is that I am a third generation MSW. My papa, Leonard Cohen, received his MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and went on to become the Executive Director of Jewish Family and Career Services in Atlanta for many years. It takes courage to be open and vulnerable. I cherish the moment a client decides to share their vulnerabilities with me, or when a child invites me to play along. I know these moments bring about trust, and a client’s trust means everything to me. My overall goal with each session is to provide a safe and accepting environment while empowering clients to become the best versions of themselves. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. Additionally, I have completed specialized training with Postpartum Support International which allows me to assist women throughout their motherhood journey. My areas of specialty include: anxiety, depression, life-changes, grief, low self-esteem, anger, parenting struggles, family of origin issues, behavioral challenges, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I work with children (ages 3-6), adolescents, women, and parents. I utilize a strengths-based approach and tailor sessions based on individual needs. My approach incorporates techniques from Adlerian Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
