I came to this field out of a lifetime of curiosity about others and myself. My hope is to help channel your own curiosity and facilitate a journey of self-discovery, understanding, and renewed hope. The grief that comes from loss or change isn’t something to “get over” or “heal” from. Instead, I see grief as an experience that evolves and matures as we learn to adapt to our new reality and integrate these difficult changes into life after loss. None of us are exempt from experiencing grief, mourning, or large life changes. I’ve been there. That’s why I hope you will feel safe bringing me along on your journey. When I am not counseling, I am probably out there dealing with this messy life just like you, training for my next half marathon, at a yoga class or spending time with my family and friends. They would tell you I’m a great listener, caring, and empathetic. They might also share my penchant for bad puns and that I spend an inordinate amount of time planning my next meal. You might also want to know that I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License # CSW003949) who received her MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work in 2004 and received a BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont. I have worked in various care settings including Inpatient, Outpatient and Managed Care. Interesting fact: Many people come to therapy not because something is “wrong,” but because they want support, clarity, or a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Therapy can be a space to slow down, take a breath, and talk things through without judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy — but above all, I focus on creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly yourself.

Hi, I'm glad you are reaching out for help and to begin the process of self-discovery. Due to COVID, I'm currently providing only telehealth sessions. We can all encounter barriers — often these are out of our awareness — that prevent us from thriving in our careers and in relationships. I believe the therapeutic relationship offers a unique opportunity in the here-and-now to increase our self-awareness and understand the influence of the past on our present behavior. I work collaboratively, empathically and creatively to help you get “unstuck” and to foster meaningful, lasting change in your inner world and in your relationships with others. Over the years, I have worked with people who are experiencing challenges related to college, work, intimate relationships, identity (cultural, racial, sexual, gender, class – and intersections of these), trauma, grief, adjustments or transitions, anxiety and depression. I have worked for many years with graduate and undergraduate students.
With every twist and turn of life's happenings come the fear of uncertainty, grieving the loss of what once was, and even the excitement of what's to come. I'm here to tell you that your thoughts, feelings, and emotions do not have to be as black and white as the world would try to make them out to be. As a trauma-informed professional, I am passionate about helping clients who seek to heal from their life experiences. Whether you're starting or strengthening your wellness journey, my intentions are to cultivate a safe space for you to redefine a new sense of normalcy on your own terms. Although my treatment approach is rooted in Adlerian and Wellness Counseling, I leverage strengths-based and mindfulness techniques. Anxiety, adjustment & life transitions, stress management, work-life harmony, spirituality, and self-esteem-related issues are my specialties. If no one has said this to you before, I just wanted to congratulate you for taking the time to invest in your mental and emotional health. I look forward to assisting you along your therapeutic journey towards holistic wellness. I am licensed in both Georgia and Maryland.
Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 11 years of experience in outpatient mental health, crisis response, and program management. I specialize in providing individual, group, couples, and family counseling, integrating evidence-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approaches. I have extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams, conducting comprehensive assessments, and coordinating care across community and clinical settings. Recognized for improving client outcomes and building strong partnerships, I am committed to expanding access to quality mental health services and supporting diverse populations with compassion and expertise. In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust. I’ll ask questions to learn about your concerns, history, and goals for therapy, and I’ll also give you space to share what feels most important to you. Together, we’ll begin to create a plan that feels manageable and tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead. One of my greatest strengths is my integrative approach—I draw from evidence-based methods like CBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness while tailoring each session to fit the unique needs of my clients. I’m skilled at creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood, while also helping them develop practical tools they can use in daily life. Clients often share that my balance of compassion, encouragement, and direct guidance helps them make meaningful progress and lasting change.
