Hi, I'm Jonathan. I'm a down-to-earth, easygoing guy. Beyond that, I'm also a therapist. I often find myself working well with those hoping to get more out of life, whether that involves building confidence, developing good relationships, creating positive habits, understanding your identities, or adjusting to new life circumstances. I'll listen without judgment to really understand you, but also gently push you to be the best version of yourself. After all, we're here to solve problems and find solutions. While therapy can look a lot of different ways, I've found that transparency, humor, and consistency are a few of the key ingredients. Personally, I have felt how transformative therapy can be (despite my initial skepticism). My hope is to be able to offer that to others too. You can connect with me by phone, email, or my website to schedule a free consultation. Let's see if we're a good fit.
Join me in learning the skills and tools to consciously create the life that you desire. Life experiences can lead to; PTSD, anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, grief, anger, hopelessness, and confusion that can make us feel out of control and overwhelmed. I support people to empower themselves through counseling, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga bringing together modern and ancient techniques for creating health and happiness in all areas of life. Everyone faces a variety of emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual challenges throughout their lifetimes, seeking help is a healthy response to these challenges. I use a holistic collaborative approach to counseling that recognizes our unique multidimensional nature, and honors the connection between mind, emotions, body, energy, and spirit. Personal empowerment & healing emerge when we make conscious healthy choices in the present moment, in doing so we liberate ourselves to pursue our inherent purpose and gifts. Do you want to live your life’s purpose and share your gifts with the world? Healing and happiness are available to everyone, we simply need the desire and commitment along with the skills and tools to create it? Medicaid accepted

My approach is to connect with you, to meet you right where you are in your life. I won’t presume to know what’s right for you (it’s really you that’s the expert when it comes to what’s right for you.) Sometimes, confusion clouds your ability to find your way – that’s why you’re here… My experience and training will help guide you back to health and wellness. I’ll join you as you do the work, so that you’re not alone working your way back. I can see you clearly, even when you can’t. For me, it’s simply natural to relate to you in whatever state you are in. Life is sometimes messy, ugly, embarrassing, painful, or shameful – but I see more than what you are going through or feeling in the moment. I am good at joining with you in your struggles and will even hold hope when it’s hard for you to do so. Change is often hard and it’s my privilege to share in your journey toward a life filled with less anxiety, deeper meaning, more joy, and relationships that are healthy and secure.

I work with many college students who are needing some support, guidance, and tools that can help them navigate their current life situation. I personally understand, from my own experience at college, some of the challenges and difficulties that can arise, so there is a lot of compassion and understanding for what you may be experiencing. I also have experience working with local students at CU. College can be exciting, fresh, and new. At the same, it puts us in completely new surroundings and situations. Overwhelm is natural. To any student who is considering therapy, I hope you know that overwhelm doesn't mean that something has gone wrong. It's normal when there are so many big changes taking place. My job is primarily to listen to you, and to really try to understand things from your perspective. This in itself is quite relieving: to be heard, seen, and understood. There's no reason for you to feel completely alone and isolated in your experience. Above all, you will find a supportive space in my practice for you to be at ease and be yourself. There are many wonderful counselors out there, and many not-so-good ones. My strong advice to you is to find a therapist who you really like, and don't stop looking for one until you find them. Before and during my own college experience, I had visited several counselors who I didn't have a real connection with. It wasn't until I was 22 that I found a counselor who I really connected with. Counseling should be a very positive experience. It is a huge resource in life. Trust yourself about what feels good to you - and go for it!

Everyone reaches a point in life when they need to make a change. Sometimes we feel stuck and need perspective in finding our own strengths and some new resources. I am in this work because I believe in change and that in pain, there is room for growth and reconnection with what feels most important. Finding a way to work through a traumatic experience, a stressful life transition or confronting long-time challenges can be an overwhelming task. I can join you in the effort. In meeting primarily with individuals, I approach this work with honesty, humility and warmth with the broader goal of providing empirically sound, non-judgmental therapeutic support.
Hi, I’m Lauren Hugunin, MFTC, and I know that college is a time of huge transitions—academically, socially, and personally. You might be navigating new relationships, exploring your identity, or dealing with the pressures of dating, sex, and intimacy. On top of that, shifting family dynamics can bring their own challenges, whether it's increased independence, lingering expectations, or navigating difficult conversations about who you are becoming. I provide a safe, affirming space where you can process these experiences without shame or judgment. Whether you’re struggling with communication in your relationships, working through past experiences that impact intimacy, or feeling tension with family as you grow into your own person, I’m here to support you. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Let’s work together to help you build confidence, set boundaries, and create relationships that truly align with who you are. I am a queer cis-woman of color, and an immigrant from Denmark and Comoros. I am passionate about fiercely challenging systemic oppression and empowering people to reclaim their innate power. As a somatic and social justice psychotherapist, I guide and empower clients in the discovery and celebration of your authentic self. Through both my work and my own lived experience, I have developed a critical awareness of the relationship between trauma and oppression. In the therapy room, you are able to gain bodily awareness and skills on how you can move more fluidly in expressing and embodying you own unapologetic truth that is too often silenced by society I specialize working with marginalized populations, including people of color, QTPOC, bilingual individuals, immigrants, queer people, and trans and gender non-conforming individuals. As a multilingual psychotherapist, I provide counseling in English, Spanish, French and Danish. I provide both in-person and video sessions. I help clients feel less anxious and more authentic in their relationships. I believe that many people experience struggle in their lives as a result of growing distant from their emotional compasses. I work with individual clients and couples to reconnect with these aspects of their experiences. While I work with clients of all genders, I hold a particular interest and expertise in working with men. I approach sessions with a compassion, humor, and directness. In my experience, change begins when we observe the way our patterns continue to lead to distress in our lives. I help clients identify approaches to shifting these patterns. Through this process, clients often find themselves feeling more authentic and fulfilled in their relationships. If you are interested in the approach described here, please reach out. I would love to hear from you.
