You may find yourself thinking, “I should be further along by now,” yet feel stuck going through the motions of life. At times, emotions may feel overwhelming, while at other moments you feel numb or disconnected. Life, like the ocean, comes in waves. Some sets are gentle, and others are surging. In those moments when the current sweeps you out know that you don’t have to swim alone. I support individuals working through anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am here to wade in the water with you, sit at the water’s edge, or hold space until the tide shifts, and the tides always shift. My approach to therapy is rooted in creating safety, collaboration, and respect for your lived experience. I view therapy as a sacred space where I meet you where you are, support you through vulnerable moments, and honor your journey as it ebbs and flows. Together, we work to build coping skills, connection, and capacity for healing. If this resonates, I invite you to reach out. You can call me or send me a message to begin exploring whether we’re a good fit.

Many people come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or like they’re “stuck” in patterns they understand but can’t seem to change. You may notice yourself pushing through stress, overthinking, shutting down, avoiding conflict, or feeling out of touch with how you actually feel. Many of us were never taught how to understand our emotions, regulate anxiety, or listen to what our bodies are trying to communicate. We learn to push through stress, become disconnected from ourselves, or rely on coping patterns that once helped us survive but no longer serve us. While traditional talk therapy focuses on changing thoughts or understanding patterns, somatic therapy includes working with emotions, nervous system responses, and physical sensations in the body. Together, we slow down and begin building a more compassionate and curious relationship with your internal experience rather than fighting against it. I integrate Somatic Experiencing®, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)–informed approaches, with attention to how past relationships and nervous system patterns show up in the present. Sessions are paced to help you notice what’s happening internally, build capacity for difficult emotions, and unwind long-held stress and tension. With over 17 years of clinical experience, I help clients feel more ease, aliveness, and connection to themselves and others—especially those who continue to feel “stuck” even after years of therapy.

Are you searching for Whole-Person Healing Rooted in Mindfulness, Energy, and Emotional Balance? I've created a space where people are gently guided back to their most authentic selves—a place where both light and shadow are honored. I believe healing isn’t linear, and there’s no “right” way to grow. This is a space where shame, guilt, and self-doubt can be released from the body, and where your full humanity is embraced. We will cultivate tools and insight to help you reconnect with your truth and rise into your highest self.

Feeling overwhelmed, behind, anxious, unsure, or like you’re constantly juggling too much? College can bring intense pressure to perform, stay productive, and have a plan—often while managing relationships, family expectations, finances, and questions about who you’re becoming. Even when things are going well academically or socially, many students carry a quiet sense of stress, self-doubt, or disconnection that’s hard to put into words. College is often referred to as the “best years of your life,” yet it’s also a time of major transition and identity formation. You may be making important decisions about your future while still figuring out what you value, what you want, and how to trust yourself. It’s common to feel stuck, anxious, or alone during this period—especially when it seems like everyone else is more confident or has things figured out. How We’ll Work Together I pay close attention to the tension many young adults feel between the part of them seeking stability and the part longing for meaning. It’s common to feel torn between wanting security—a solid job, steady relationships, a clear plan—and wanting a life that feels authentic, purposeful, and alive. In our work, we’ll explore this inner conflict with curiosity rather than judgment and find a way forward that integrates both of these core desires. Many young adults also carry a quiet sense of “I should be further along by now,” shaped by family expectations, social comparison, and cultural pressure. Together, we’ll slow down these narratives and build a relationship to yourself that’s based on honesty, compassion, and your actual needs—not someone else’s timeline. We’ll explore patterns in your relationships, clarify your values, likes, and dislikes, and build skills that help you move through the world with more confidence and ease. Therapy becomes a place to practice new ways of relating: setting boundaries, being more authentic, understanding your emotional patterns, and building healthier relationships. We’ll look at where your values, instincts, and longings are trying to guide you, and how to make choices that align with who you’re becoming.

My journey into the world of mental health services has come through my own struggles with adoption trauma, addiction, and long-term depression. Such conditions have made me an avid researcher of the human mind and heart, and a passionate experimenter of the means by which we transform both. This research and experimentation has (thankfully) fine-tuned my relationship skills and made me fluent in many languages of internal exploration. The most impactful of all of these have been the practices of meditation and somatic psychotherapy. I have spent nearly twenty years exploring them in depth and I would love to share them with you.

As a therapist, I offer insight-oriented therapy, which includes deep self-reflection, exploration of your hopes and goals, and artistic exploration. My practice focuses on attachment work, which helps people to strengthen their connection with their truth and authenticity. Being true to ourselves leads to greater self-worth, intuition, empathy, and better relationships. We can more confidently pursue our passions and purpose, and be more clear on our next steps in life. Young adults often see me to address the transition to college or graduation from college. Others are dealing with difficult family dynamics, including situations where their identities or life choices are not accepted or respected by family members. Some are seeking guidance as they develop their professional identity and consider their life trajectory. Others are healing from trauma, including sexual assault or abuse. The tools I draw on when working with young adults include talk therapy and EMDR—and I also find mediums like sand tray and art therapy to be useful. I offer sessions in-office or nature-based. Sometimes words don't cut it. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking a safe space to explore your inner world? Art therapy uses tools that take traditional talk therapy to the next level by giving you an embodied experience. The heart of my practice is believing people are their own experts. You are the ONLY you with your exact values, experiences, routines, heartaches, and desires. I want you to feel seen, foster a deeper understanding of your journey, and find answers and solace through your own innate intuition. If you're new to art therapy you may not be aware of how creativity can open new doors of understanding and connection. Sometimes we get stuck on a judgmental message from 1st grade that we aren’t “good” at artmaking. Well, I say forget that! You ARE inherently creative and it’s okay to heal using both the logical AND intuitive sides of your brain. You get to lead at your comfort level and I will authentically support you using tools and techniques (whether open-ended or more structured) to guide you. If you are seeking space to work through an issue you're having, improve self-esteem, cope with anxiety or depression, manage stress, deal with relationship or parenting issues, process trauma, or just vent, consider reaching out to me.

As a practicing psychologist for over 30 years (and a short time before that as an attorney), I understand the importance of having someone to speak with about our worries, questions, changes and even our daily lives. I see adults and adolescents who seek support in navigating stressful situations and not only reaching resolution on that issue, but also learning about themselves in deeper ways. I listen closely and with an open mind. I'm supportive and encouraging and help you make connections to patterns that can rework things you would like to change and do differently. Whether we are working on immediate problem resolution or exploring family/social dynamics, it's important that you feel understood, heard and supported in session. It's also important that you have direct, clear feedback that is experienced as helpful and insightful. Not every session is likely to be groundbreaking, but together, we can work toward defining and reaching your therapeutic goals.

I am multi-lingual licensed psychotherapist in private practice specializing in trauma and the emotional and somatic impact of violence on the individual and communities - whether it’s racially or gender-charged violence or the destruction of our planet - grief, anxiety, trauma, shame, feelings of despair and anger are all part of it. As faculty of the International Center for Mental Health & Human Rights, I have facilitated contemplative based trauma and resiliency trainings locally and internationally to communities on the frontlines. In my work with you, I pay attention to how constructs such as power, race, gender, socio-economics, and sociopolitical environments impact the individual, family, and community identity, well-being, and health. Traumatic experiences happen within a social context and are shaped by social and climate-related conditions. Tailoring my approach according to your concerns, challenges, and unique socio-cultural background feels essential in our work together. I have been working with adults and adolescents in the mental health and education field since 2005. I graduated from the California Institute for Integral Studies with a Master’s Degree in Integral Counseling Psychology and hold a Social Work degree from Hochschule Niederrhein in Germany. I offer individual and group psychotherapy in my office in Boulder, CO. As a psychotherapist, I take an integrative approach that includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR, neuroscience, climate-awareness, social justice, and contemplative-based trauma and resiliency training. My work predominantly focuses on survivors of traumatic experiences as well as challenges related to shame, self-esteem, racial and multicultural identities, and climate distress. As a climate-aware psychotherapist, certified in climate psychology and member of the North America Climate Psychology Alliance, I am passionate about understanding the immediate mental health impacts of climate related disasters and long term stressors of living with the reality of climate change over time. I believe that learning emotional resiliency skills with ways of motivating effective action and creating intentional moments of reconnection with the earth and all her inhabitants, feel essential to the wellbeing of our world. I speak English, Spanish and German fluently.

Although college can be a time of excitement and exploration, it can also feel extreme and bring up feelings that can be challenging to sort out on our own. Having the right support can make all the difference. At In Bloom Psychotherapy we are here to support you on this journey exactly as you are, helping you find the tools and resources to provide some relief and a better understanding of yourself. Among other issues, we specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, relational issues, depression, college athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts. We incorporate body awareness and mindfulness into sessions because talk therapy alone may not be enough to shift old patterns and create new neural pathways in the brain. Some of our clinicians are trained in EMDR therapy and utilize approaches such as parts work, IFS, DBT, CBT, mindfulness and attachment theory. We know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and daunting. If something in this bio resonates with you, please reach out for a free twenty-minute phone consultation.

I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ teens and adults navigating gender, sexuality, relationships, identity, and the emotional weight that can come with living authentically. My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. I pay close attention to what's unfolding between us in the moment, while also helping you build practical tools for regulation, self-trust, and resilience. I honor the realities of our sociopolitical climate and the ways it shapes queer and trans lives, and I aim to hold space that’s affirming, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your truth. Whether you're coming out, healing from trauma, or just trying to make sense of who you are and what you need, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You don’t have to do it alone.
