We are a small private practice located in Fort Collins, CO who treat individuals struggling with depression and/or anxiety. These conditions include a variety of symptoms including feelings of sadness, loss of motivation, low energy, isolation, feeling worthless, disruption to appetite or sleep, racing thoughts, over-thinking, worry, nervousness, and panic attacks. Due to these symptoms, the ability to function normally is impacted, and many of our clients are having difficulty in school and in their relationships. Beginning therapy—or starting with a new therapist—can feel vulnerable and daunting. As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I create a space that feels welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe to support adults who are ready to improve their well-being and navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. My specialties include perinatal mental health and women’s mental health across the lifespan, along with mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, attachment disorders, and more. When working together, you are assured a warm and non-pathologizing approach to care that is grounded in humility and respect for the courage it takes to share your story. I welcome the opportunity to connect for a brief consultation, bringing skill and compassion to your journey no matter where you’re at along the path. I believe each person is the expert in their own life. Therapy is, therefore, a collaborative process, where I listen deeply and work with you to clarify your goals and move toward healing and greater well-being at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we attend not only to areas of pain, but also to your strengths, values, and passions. My approach is warm, person-centered, and strengths-based, drawing flexibly from a range of evidence-based modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In addition, I am trained in the Gottman Method (Level 1) and use Gottman techniques in my work with couples. As a clinician with lived experience as a mother and more than ten years of experience as an educator, I bring a deep understanding of family systems, child development, and the realities of parenting. This background allows me to support mothers and families with both compassion and practical insight. When I’m not in the office, I love reading, spending time in nature, taking in all kinds of art, and having adventures with my family.

HI, I have been in private practice since 2006. I have been married since 1990 and have 5 amazing adult children. I have live in Colorado since 1989, grew up in Illinois and got my bachelors at the University of Wyoming in Family and Child Studies.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with six years of experience, my work is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and young adults from all backgrounds navigate life's challenges. Whether you're working through trauma, a mental health diagnosis, emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, family or social conflict, or a difficult life transition, you don't have to face it alone. My specialties include PTSD and trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, mood disorders, personality disorders, and adjustment disorders. Beyond diagnosis, I also support patients with stress management, self-esteem, social skills, coping skill development, and crisis intervention. Wherever you are in your journey, my goal is to be a compassionate, trustworthy partner who meets you exactly where you are, because you deserve to feel heard, empowered, and confident in your growth. Collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based care is at the heart of everything I do. Each of our sessions is built on authenticity and compassion, and I tailor my approach to your unique situation and needs so that what we work on together feels meaningful and relevant to your life. You can expect a space that is nonjudgmental and genuinely supportive. Using an integrated therapeutic approach, we'll work through life's hardships in a way that honors your experiences and builds on your existing strengths. The goal is for you to feel understood, capable, and empowered to create lasting, meaningful change. My path to this work was shaped by a deeply personal experience during graduate school, where I encountered hardship, judgment, and misunderstanding from professional counselors based on my own identities. Rather than diminish my passion, that experience ignited it, clarifying exactly the kind of therapist I wanted to be: one who shows up with full authenticity and compassion for every person who walks through the door. Working with children, adolescents, and young adults has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. These times taught me that even one person, with genuine positivity and empathy, can make a meaningful difference for someone who has never had that kind of relationship before. This belief grounds my work every day. I bring an open-minded perspective to each session because I believe you hold the key to overcoming the challenges you've faced. My role is to walk alongside you as you find it. Outside of sessions, you'll find me coloring, tackling puzzles, playing board games, or heading outdoors for an adventure. Staying active and creative keeps me grounded, and I bring that same energy and curiosity into the care I provide.

You might be a student who looks like you have it together but feels anxious, burned out, or disconnected underneath. Maybe the pressure of classes, relationships, or figuring out who you are is heavier than you expected. Maybe you're navigating a big transition, far from home for the first time, or just noticing that the way you've always coped isn't working anymore. In therapy, we'll slow down, get curious about what's really going on, and build skills that help you feel more like yourself. I draw from a variety of approaches — including body-based techniques, mindfulness, and talk therapy — to tailor our work to what you actually need. Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, hiking, listening to music, learning to play the bass guitar, reading, exploring my creativity through painting and writing, and cherishing every moment with my beloved dog, Bodhi.
