I work with older teens and adults who experience trauma symptoms, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and identity issues, LGBTQIA2S+ concerns, or other life transitions. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship prompts fuller connections in other areas of life - to oneself, to others, and to the environment. We will work to discover your personal values, explore and process patterned behaviors and relationships, and uncover and utilize your own strengths to take steps towards achieving personal goals. My approach is trauma-focused and person-centered, including a background in psychodynamic therapy, somatic attachment theory, parts work, TF-CBT, and holistic wellness.

I believe in the restorative power of hope. Over the course of my career I have been able to support clients to internalize the belief that they can make change in their lives. From focusing on eliminating inner negative chatter to processing an acute trauma, I strive to create opportunities for the achievement of one's goals. Through partnership, trust and the sharing of knowledge, real movement can occur. There is hope. Licensed as both a mental health and addictions specialist counselor, I work with both individuals and couples. I practice remotely in Colorado and Rhode Island. My practice approach starts with identifying how to begin shifting what isn't providing benefit, with behavioral, cognitive and emotional evolution. This is a strengths-based, collaborative process grounded in trust and respect. I completed my Master of Arts and Master of Education in Psychological Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. My deep professional satisfaction is grounded in the experience of growth and recovery that clients obtain through our efforts. I am available for initial phone consultations to discuss your needs and how we might partner in your care.
Hi there! My name is Mark (he/him). I am a licensed therapist in Colorado & Ohio. My favorite population to work with is college students — it's an exciting age of discovering your self and the world around you, but it can also be a season of hardship, disappointment, and overwhelm. My undergraduate and graduate school days were some of the most formative of my life, but I also know firsthand how difficult & lonely it can be to juggle the expectations of academics, relationships, finances, and more — not to mention your own developing identity and values. I am here to help those who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out. I have extensive experience helping young adults in the U.S. and Europe navigate these crossroads. My background in emotionally focused therapy, EMDR, and neurofeedback can help you safely & effectively lean into the discomfort you are currently facing (you need to feel it to heal it!) and develop the courage to continue forward towards the path you desire. You have the answers within you; sometimes we just need some encouragement and direction. Interested in working together? Let's get in touch! I happily offer a free 30-minute phone consult. It would be an honor to walk alongside you during your academic journey.
It seems like doing life got harder. Stress is prevalent, the room clears out. You feel overwhelmed, patience is low and checking out sounds like a good idea. Tired of trying to make everyone happy? Got friends? Love? Expressing confidence is difficult and you question yourself constantly. All of these can lead to depression, anxiety, unhealthy relationships and poor habits and addiction. But they don't have to cause suffering. There are many tools available to you that can help you problem solve, reduce anxious and depressive symptoms, improve relationships and even tools that you can start using right now to find love. I practice from the belief that everyone can have a balanced life. You can have love, friends & even appreciate going to work every day. That anxiety is not to be feared but appreciated. That your mind has the potential to heal naturally given the right tools. My toolbox includes art, mindfulness, somatic techniques, CBT, outdoor therapy and more. The hardest step is to show up to your first session. For many of us it is like the first day of school. Soon, you get to know your teachers and with hard work, you learn, you grow and you move on. Team up with me and you will soon discover that you won't want to go back to the old way of being.
As an insight-oriented therapist I operate from the belief that the more we understand about where we have been, the more control we have in where we are going. I take a client-centered approach to therapy, encouraging my clients to bring in what feels most important to them each week. When working with clients, my first priority is establishing a secure, authentic relationship that meets the needs of each individual. We work together to identify patterns of how you relate to yourself and others. We explore where they came from and the purpose they serve in your life. This allows you to identify what you want to change, and together we work to create a life that aligns with who you are.
My practice focuses on helping clients with relationship issues, infidelity, and financial therapy. If you are struggling to find your place on campus and feel like an outsider and an imposter, I've been there, and I can help you build stronger connections with those around you and with your own self! My speciality area is helping people better understand their relationship to money and class and understand how their history and feelings around money impact their everyday life on campus and their relationships. If this sounds like you, set up a consultation through my website below. In addition to standard psychotherapy sessions, I offer long therapy sessions called intensives if you have trouble making time for regularly scheduled therapy.

Whether you are going through a tough time or have been grappling with an ongoing mental health concern, therapy can be a tool to help you learn more about yourself and develop strategies to better manage these challenges. Outside of work I enjoy catching a horror movie, hiking, and spending time with my diva of a cat. Some of my areas of clinical interest include, relationship and family issues, college counseling, trauma, anxiety, non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, substance use, grief & loss, and depression. As an experienced, compassionate clinician specializing in liberation psychology, my work centers on helping people from all backgrounds navigate complex trauma and the very real weight of systemic and interpersonal oppression. While I have a particular focus on supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults from underserved and disenfranchised communities, my door is open to anyone ready to do this work. Transparent, empathetic communication is at the heart of how I connect with the people I work with. Genuine connection matters to me and, together, we'll explore both the past and the future in a space built on trust and honesty. My passion lies in liberation from both personal trauma and systems that perpetuate harm. By taking a patient-centered and collaborative approach centered in collective action, I create the calm and intentional environment that allows you to achieve just that. Together, we'll move through experiences of intense trauma and symptoms of struggle in a way that’s tailored to your unique understanding, experiences, and needs. We accomplish this through psychoeducation paired with somatic and cognitive engagement, with a particular specialization in body-focused healing. Whatever we work through, my style stays gently direct and centered on the best path forward for you. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own mental health experiences and the journey I’ve taken to find my way through them. That path deepened my commitment to patient-centered care rooted in reclaiming a sense of control and agency. Bringing my own humanness into each session isn't something I shy away from; it's something I believe makes the work more real, more honest, and more meaningful for you. Skiing, rock climbing, and good company with even better friends are some of my favorite ways to recharge. A love of video games and coffee keeps things interesting, and growing up on the coast left me with a deep connection to the ocean that never quite fades.
Hi, I’m Ana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy in Colorado. You may appear to have everything together, yet inside you feel exhausted, disconnected, or like you are constantly masking parts of who you are. Many of the people I work with feel caught between identities, cultures, or expectations that never quite feel like home. I work with young adults and adults (ages 18-30s) navigating trauma symptoms, burnout, high-functioning anxiety, identity-related stress, and feeling detached from themselves. Many are college students or early-career professionals trying to understand who they are and build a life that feels more aligned with their identity and values. My approach centers the connection between identity, culture/environment, and the whole Self--mind, body, heart, spirit, and soul. Drawing from somatic therapy, trauma-informed care, multicultural therapy, IFS-informed parts work, and systems perspectives, I help clients understand the protective patterns that once served them, reconnect with themselves on a deeper level, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, intentional, and aligned with who they are. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you have not always felt understood or supported in other spaces. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation where we can talk about what brings you here, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
