Its difficult finding a therapist. It means being vulnerable, asking for help, and taking time out for it. When starting therapy, take the pressure off yourself. You may know what issues you want to work on, or you may not. Sometimes the awareness of what is needed comes later. Maybe there are things you haven't told anyone, and would like to. Many of us need to grieve, but either don't know how or with who. Maybe you just need to talk. Maybe you don't know why you're coming to therapy, but here you are....

Sometimes in life you just need a break and someone you can count on. Someone who is not going to pass judgment, make any assumptions, or say anything unhelpful. That said, therpy often reveals the truth in some things, and that can be painful. And sometimes pain needs to be felt.

I am a gestalt therapist with advanced training in gestalt based theory and practice. I work with clients seeking psychotherapy, I work with students seeking supervision for licensure, and I work with licensed therapists who are seeking supervision, teaching, or training in gestalt therapy.
