College and graduate school can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with stress, anxiety, low mood, loneliness, relationship challenges, questions about your identity, or the pressure to keep up academically while managing everything else in your life. For some students, adjusting to life away from home, navigating independence, or recovering from difficult experiences such as trauma or past hardships can make this time especially challenging.

I'm Kate Conway, a Mental Health Counselor Fellow (MHC-F) at Modern Talk, working under the clinical supervision of our licensed directors. Working with college students and young adults is at the heart of what I do — I have a deep understanding of the unique pressures this stage of life brings, and I know how much courage it takes to ask for support when you're in the middle of it. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic and relational therapy — I work with you to understand the patterns, experiences, and relationships shaping how you think, feel, and move through the world, while drawing on practical, skills-based tools when the work calls for it.

Whether you're looking for support during a difficult period, trying to better understand yourself, or hoping to build healthier coping skills and relationships, I'm here. I offer a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly, gain insight, and develop the tools to navigate this chapter with greater confidence and resilience.
