Jessica Tomasko
Hi there, I’m Jessica, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges at every stage. I have been lucky enough to work with a wide variety of people across the U.S.–and beyond! Before graduate school, I volunteered as a social worker in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I assisted at-risk teens, isolated families, and adults diagnosed with schizophrenia. Learning about their life experiences, identifying hopes and dreams, and helping them regain independence was an experience that I will never forget.
For over 20 years, I have worked extensively with families that are coping with parenting challenges, communication breakdowns, defiance, and life transitions. I am committed to supporting caregivers, children, and teens by providing strategic tools for managing complex behaviors and improving family interactions. Whether it’s navigating a divorce, supporting a child struggling with anxiety, or exploring emotion regulation techniques, together we will find the solutions needed to move forward with confidence.
Having worked in diverse settings (including schools, community mental health centers, rural towns, and assisted living facilities), I understand the unique challenges that come with aging, life transitions, grief, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace and work towards long-term positive change.
My approach is warm, empathetic, and strength-based. Drawing from a combination of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems work, and person-centered therapy, I help people learn new strategies to use when faced with difficult emotions and behaviors. Although I utilize a wide variety of therapeutic techniques, I believe that a respectful, trusting relationship is essential for positive outcomes. I continually ask for feedback from my clients, as I want to ensure that our sessions are improving their quality of life.
Therapy is a space for growth, healing, and discovery—and I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Whether you’re facing a current crisis, struggling with family dynamics, or simply looking for support in everyday life, I’m here to help. If you’re ready to take the next step towards healing, let’s connect and see how we can work together to bring positive change to your life.
