Emma Schrader
I recognize that finding a therapist can feel daunting and that asking for help is not always easy. I want to acknowledge this first step of looking at profiles and encourage you to take the time to find someone that feels like a good fit for you. If we work together, my goal is to provide a non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported; we will also work together to identify goals and steps towards meaningful change that feel aligned with your life and your beliefs.
Over the past 8 years I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of needs and expectations. My work primarily focuses on supporting clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am also passionate about helping people set boundaries in their relationships, advocate for themselves, build self-confidence, and commit to realistic self-care. I am mindful of the importance of context, including systemic barriers, cultural norms, and the dynamic nature of the counseling relationship itself in order to identify the best approach for you as an individual.
I center my work with clients, irrespective of age and experience, on the belief that fundamentally every one of us is doing the best we can at any given moment. I strive to create the space necessary to move through what feels, and can be, unbearable, and move forward with hope and intention.
I am currently accepting new clients via telehealth. Please reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing if we could be a good fit to work together!
