Allison VanDoorn
Life is a series of events, interactions, experiences, and so many highs and lows. We are all on this journey of life and sometimes the journey becomes difficult and can feel unmanageable. So often our journey can be more enjoyable with a little help and support. I am a master's level clinical social worker, and I have an undergraduate degree is in psychology. I enjoy understanding how our minds work. I have the ambition to help others develop ways to make their journeys through life both meaningful and manageable. Through sessions I aim to develop an understanding of how your mind works with you and use that to create a journey that is both meaningful and manageable for you.
I strongly believe in experiencing life to the fullest of our capabilities, and through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practice, my goal is to discover how your experiences affect thoughts and behaviors, and how your thoughts and behaviors affect your experiences so that you can live them to the fullest. I am currently accepting new clients and look forward to connecting with you!
